What a beautiful place , we only stayed for the night after visiting Matlock Bath for the illuminated boats and fireworks this hotel didn’t disappoint at all , the rooms , staff , breakfast, hotel and grounds it’s self is amazing , don’t hesitate to stay here you won’t be disappointed at all , Thankyou Oakhill we loved it .

Celebrated a family birthday here today and it was flawless from start to finish. Well organised, lovely staff. Great venue, nice grounds. The food was excellent, all 32 meals came out very quickly and efficiently. Everyone happy. Would highly recommend

Only stayed as a quick overnight stay. Parking was difficult at first, as hotel was full with afternoon teas, but showed how popular it was. We were shown to our room was spacious and comfortable. As we arrived late we opted to eat at the hotel, and enjoyed a traditional Sunday roast. Good selection for breakfast, had the Derbyshire option.

I attended a wedding here this weekend and the venue was stunning and everything seemed to run with ease. A particular thank you to the manager who kindly drove me back to the church when I realised I’d left my bag behind and would have had to trek back in the pouring rain.

Came to this hotel for 2 nights to visit the area before attending a wedding reception in Derby. It was beautiful in every way. The room was lovely, the staff were friendly, the hotel itself was beautiful and the gardens were outstanding. The hotel kindly let us keep the room a bit longer on our departure day, even though they were themselves hosting a wedding. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and breakfast both mornings and the food was amazing. Both food and wine were surprisingly reasonably priced as was the stay itself. We were able to walk to Matlock Bath and the Heights of Abraham, so no need to use the car. I'd highly recommend this lovely hotel.

This hotel has to be one of the finest I have ever stayed at, and I have stayed at many 5 star hotels around the world, but would rate this hotel as equal in terms of standards, quality of accommodation, quality of food , and attention to detail by management and all members of staff. The grounds are also superb, and the staff inform me many celebrities stay here too (I am not at all surprised). I shall definitely return.

Very good find, central to where we wanted. Room was really nice with a good outlook. The staff were all lovely and nothing was a problem for them. The food was first class, one of the best hotel breakfast we have had. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to that general area.

What a beautiful place to stay. We spent 2 nights here and I would definitely recommend a short break here. The customer service was just great, friendly and helpful, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. The Stables room had comfortable beds and it had a great shower. Really enjoyed our break.
