We stayed for one night in December and really like this hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was very good (I recommend booking in advance, as it was busy on a Saturday night), and breakfast in the morning, also very good. We will be happy to return some time!

Beautiful place to stay. Very comfortable accommodation, lovely gardens, friendly helpful staff and good food. The location is very convenient for visiting local attractions yet is in a pretty and peaceful spot. Can’t wait to go back

This is an excellent hotel, we stayed for several nights. The location was ideal for visiting local attractions. The room was just right, with a lovely view of the gardens. The food was great; we had our evening meal here most nights. The staff were attentive and helpful.

What a beautiful hotel and a stunning meal. The hotel and restaurant are amazing, the food fantastic and the service so attentive and professional. The gardens are magnificent. Cannot recommend Oakhill highly enough! Hopefully coming back very soon x

I'm in my 70's. I took my friend for an 80th birthday treat. Ordered a glass of cold lager on arrival......came in a plain pint glass. To be fair when I asked for a half glass the young waitress poured mine into 2 glasses. My friend didn't bother. That was ok. However my meal was ok my friend was inedible. We ordered from the main menu so £30 each meal ! Hers sent back with instructions to remove inedible lamb and she would eat vegetables. After 10 mins the waitress ( older woman ) came back with a dish full of veg. No gravy or potatoes, which my friend was expecting. Sent back. Paid bill minus her meal and left. Young girl who served beer told us " most women now drink pints ". Well sorry but we don't. Instead of an apology we were offered a sandwich. Awful totally not acceptable. Maybe we were just unlucky with the chef and staff that day.

Comfy bed , fabulous shower, amazing food , super-friendly staff and beautiful gardens. Attention to detail in every aspect. We didn't want to leave.
