Cherhana Resort

We just returned from an awesome visit at Cherhana resort located at Crișana zone in Danube delta. We had a warm welcome,great cuisine and hospitality. The humble owner took personal interaction and interest in anything we needed. The property is so beautiful and scenic greenery surrounded by canals and the true feel of wild delta. I may recommend this resort for real aromas of delta and even to reach all famous location places it's easy approach and central location. We had our own fast boat and it was very comfortable to dock it at jetty point of resort. What to say other than that it's a resort worth staying and enjoying if anyone lives to enjoy true delta back waters feel... and not a to feel living in bucharest hotel. I’m a regular “customer” of Delta du Danube in general (I’m visiting it several times per year, different locations, different periods of the year). However this year it was the first time ever going to Cherhana Resort, together with my wife and 2 kids (8 and 10) for a couple of days. WOW... everything was amazing from the services/ staff kindness to the decorations and design of the rooms – everything was so clean and cozy. The pool was just great, big and warm with crystal clear water, the kids LOVED it! Also, there was a dedicated playground for kids, quite big with a lot of sand and a fresh water pump system, it was more than the kids could have dreamed to find out in the middle of the Delta. I can’t give any feedback for the food because that’s subjective to each of us … all I can tell you is that the kids did not have any complains at all and that’s saying a lot 😊)… however if you expect to find the same amount & diversity of food like in a “5* all inclusive hotel in Turkey”, that’s not the place you should go … The estate is so green, so wide and open, not over-crowded by accommodation units, you just feel that you’re in heaven. Once you book it you receive in detail all you need to reach there (directions, private boat contacts for transfer etc.) and the friendly staff will double check with you that everything is clear. To conclude I would say it's an underrated resort compared to its neighbors (e.g., the famous one with a bird name) … DEFINATELY Chernaha it’s VERY close to a 10! CONGRATs guys!

We stayed for 5 nights in a triple room (with a large bed and a sofa, for the kid) with a balcony. The room has a very nice walk in shower, quiet air conditioning, a fridge. The resort is beautiful, the pool area, the restaurant. The breakfast is diversified and has good chooses and a decent variety of coffee. The restaurant offers not only dishes with fish, but also others dishes. The prices are pretty high, but this is common in the Delta. You can check the website and see the menu and all the prices not only for food but also for the trips you can do. The staff is very helpful, especially Cristina from the reception. I loved this place because is clean, quiet and very nice. But you have to be prepare for the mosquitoes. Lots of mosquitoes 🦟 outside.
