Bathroom is close by but not in the room. Bathroom had tub and shower which was nice. Continental breakfast started at 8 am but should have been at least by 7 am. Had coffee in the room but had to leave before 8 am as was meeting other people. Missed out on Breakfast there. Lovely old hospital converted to Hotel and close to the Casinos as within walking distance. Convertible bed and nice linens. Really enjoyed it and will be back.

We were exploring the area during the peak of the leaf-changing season and truly loved our stay at the Hotel St. Nicholas. The staff were wonderful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hospitality exceeded our expectations. If you stay here, you must have a drink in the boiler room bar! Also, be sure to take the train ride and visit Rita the Troll in Victor.

This placed rocked! Bill and the entire staff made us feel like family. We literally had the place to ourselves one night. My sisters are paranormal hunters and we got what we went for. The hotel is very well kept and clean. Can't speak more highly and will definitely make the trip again! Thanks Bill:)

The St. Nicholas hotel (previously a hospital in the late 1800s) has an incredible history. Bill was the perfect host. The hotel is beautifully furnished in Victorian era furniture and is very comfortable. Our room had the original hospital nursery converted to a small sunroom/den. This was a very special place for me and my wife. Also a very comfortably furnished entertainment room downstairs to relax in or play pool. A very special place. Anthony & Lil Rogers LaGrange, GA

Exceptionally well kept historical hotel, great staff and fun social vibe. Really enjoyed my stay here as a solo traveler. Staff was helpful in recommendations and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Don't forget to drop into the Boiler Room in the evening for a nightcap.

Fantastic old hospital with rooms in period style. Bill host was great. Lovey room 7 with enclosed balcony area. Very comfortable and great view over town. Nice continental breakfast offered. Hotel in keeping with this old gold mining town. Loved it.

Never go to this hotel, it’s worst hotel ever! The staffs are terrible and not friendly. They are in not useful at all! Even it’s cheap but nothing is worst to pay! Only one thing that is good is the location. Others are very terrible. I will never recommend anyone to book this hotel!

The St. Nicholas was built in 1898 by Catholic Sisters as a hospital. If you like old buildings turned into hotels, this one should not be missed. The staff is minimal, but very friendly and helpful. There is a nice bar in the old boiler room and pool tables in the lounge area. Each room has a history and is decorated differently, We enjoyed our room and would stay there any time we go to Cripple Creek.

Such a unique place to stay. So much history! The staff was super friendly and nice job by housekeeping. Completely smoke free, which we appreciated. So much fun to hear the creaks and groans of such a historic place. *Almost* wish we had seen a ghost.
