The Hotel St. Nicholas in Cripple Creek is the best place to stay if you want to experience the real Cripple Creek. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly staff and they showed me around and led me to my room. The hotel feels more like a family home with the handcrafted wood features and the reminders of the history of the building. We always make a day trip to Victor when we stay. Cant wait for the next visit! Keep up the great work!

The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. Luckily I was not visited by any ghosts in the night. They serve a continental breakfast with many teas and coffees to choose from. The tavern in the hotel is a very lively place at night! Good times.

It’s more of a home than a hotel really and once you’re inside, it’s a magical place almost like a time travel. My soul feels recharged being wrapped in all of the vintage Victorian vibes.

This historic hotel is lovely and intriguing. With that comes squeaky floorboards, which gave me concern, but I was pleasantly surprised that people were considerate of the hour and did not interrupt my sleep. The rooms were beautiful. The mattress was very comfortable, and the fluffy pillows were wonderful.

Loved the hotel. It is charming and staff was super friendly. However it was pretty noisy (traffic noise), the shades didn’t begin to block outside lights, the bed sagged toward the middle, and the shower didn’t have much power. In spite of that I would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

This lovely historic hotel is a true gem. I was concerned about the squeaky floorboards in this old hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised by the consideration of the other guests, and my sleep was not disturbed. Staying at the Hotel St. Nicholas is an authentic experience.

The Owner’s are “Hands on” and very hospitable and welcoming! The ole hospital has been excellently remodeled into a hotel and has maintained its historic charm and character! Rooms are decorated with attention to historic detail! Highly recommended for a stay in this beautiful historic gold mining town! Arron, Kristen and… were great hosts to us! We will return on our visit to Cripple Creek!
