Creston Hotel

We stayed in a suite across the street from the hotel. It had been recently renovated. The furniture was very nice and the bed was comfortable if a little bit hard. The appliances seem to be new. It was nice and quiet. This is our second visit and we will probably return.

The room was very comfortable and clean. Water pressure in shower was incredible. Service at front desk was friendly and efficient. It is an old building but the inside was nice. Wall mounted a/c was able to run all night to keep room cool as it was not loud at all. Coffee and muffins provided in AM were good. Only complaint I could possibly make is toilets are too short. We never heard anything at all but our room was right above the bar downstairs which possibly could be an issue on a Friday Or Saturday night.

Dated, but clean room. Check in was seamless and polite. I was assigned 2 rooms: a suite in a different building that I could have for 5 of 7 nights since it was pre-booked on my last night. The last 2 nights were spent in a queen room in the main building. This was expected and I appreciated being accommodated in a better room for the first part of my stay. The suite was spacious, quiet, and new. It was very clean and was handy to have a stove/oven, 2 TVs and a separate bedroom. The issues were with the switch-over and the 2nd room in the main building. First, when I was making the switch from one room to the other, the girl at the front desk was rude with me and then angry at her co-workers for making accommodations for me without her knowledge. The other girl who helped me (young/coloured hair) was excellent and dealt with the issue politely and with grace even though her co-worker was less than graceful. The only issue with the room in the main building was that it was pretty loud. The hotel was nice enough to provide ear plugs (see picture) with the room. That should have been a clue! I would stay here again but I would book a room that isn't facing the main road if in the main building. I would definitely book a suite in the other building, away from the traffic and the patrons from the pub.

Decent. Dated. Clean. Good location. Don't stay on a weekend. You won't get any sleep! Rooms above the bar are obnoxiously noisy due to the music. Request a room away from the bar. The hotel needs to invest in some sound proofing! Difficult to book and hotel staff are not readily available.

Great service! The girl at the front desk was friendly and more than helpful. Although outdated, our room (suite) was spacious and clean. Take out food from Jimmy’s was great. The kitchen does come with cutting board, pans, glasses, etc.. we didn’t hear any noises from outside

The hotel location is in the middle of downtown, making it convenient to walk everywhere. The location is also situated for easy access to get placed for a variety of activities. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. There is a pub stashed with great food, just make sure to use the ear plugs they provide because the music goes until 12 or 12:30. Hiweber, I would stay here again.

Be aware that the rooms across the street, though possibly quieter, leave a lot to be desired. The entry is unattractive because you are 15 feet from a dilapidated house. If you step outside for a breath of fresh air or to use the picnic table or grill that is also what you are looking at. Looking out back window you see the back of a old building. There was 1 bar on their WI-Fi while we were there. Unable to search or get & respond to email. There were 2 televisions in our suite- neither worked. We called reception & the hotel clerk came over & got the one in kitchen/sitting area working but after she left, we went to dinner & came back & realized the remote would not change channels. When we went to bed realized the bedroom TV had no service/signal @ all. Mentioned all this at checkout but no discount offered.

Clean and comfortable. We try to overnight here on trips home from the coast. Breaks up our drive to Alberta with a great dinner and drinks plus an excellent nights rest after torturous stays on family hideabeds. The beds are comfortable, the showers hot. What more do you need.
