Purple Mountain is a delight, the property and owner are dialed in. Maybe the most convenient location in town - easy walks to Mtn shuttles and town! Nice hot tub out back, a very quiet spot for a soak. Chris puts on a great breakfast, highly recommended!

This place is truly worthy. Chris has owned and operated this quaint B&B for twenty years and he's obviously doing something right. Well, actually, everything right! The room was nice with a comfortable bed and an updated bathroom. The breakfast is gourmet and filling. The beer tasting is fun. The guests seem to be an interesting group. Chris is also interesting and full of useful information. We came to ski and the Town Bus to the ski hill was conveniently a short walk away. We were so glad we booked this B&B, which is in town with the businesses also only a short walk away. Thanks Chris!

In 30 years of visiting the Purple Mountain Chris and his staff continue to improve with each visit. The rooms are always up to date, clean and new amenities are added with almost every visit. The seasonal options for bicycles, spa, beer and wine tastings add so much to the experience and options for each day of your stay.

This was great experience. The B&B is walking distance close to town. The room was very comfortable. The host was quite friendly, serving beer in the afternoon, hot chocolate and snacks in the evening, and a gourmet breakfast. We’re going back next year for a longer stay.

What a comfortable and delightful stay! Chris runs the B and B with such attention to detail and with style. He even took me out skiing after my son injured his shoulder and couldn't join me. Full service! You will really enjoy your stay.

This place is awesome! The owner runs the place and it has all the benefits that come with that - the house is clean, the rooms are nice, and it’s very well run. The breakfast is also delicious - it’s a gourmet feast that I would easily pay $25 a person for! Highly recommend.

We stayed at PMB&B right before Christmas and had a wonderful time. Owner Chris was a delightful host & outstanding breakfast chef! Waffles, frittatas, organic pancakes, omelettes kept us going for the ski day and through apres ski. Great coffee and apres ski goodies. Craft beer tasting was a wonderful social hour. Rooms were very nice and beds comfy. 5 minutes walk from 4-way stop shuttle to the mountain which runs every 15 minutes. We’ll be back!

My wife and I stayed at the Purple Mtn B&B for 3 nights in mid-September. We loved the charming space, Chris and Molly were excellent hosts, and the location was ideal for a short walk into town or to start and long bike ride. The breakfasts were fantastic and Chris took the time to explain the details of the meal and answer any questions. Chris was very helpful in terms of local information, from restaurants to hiking / biking trails. And of course, you have to acknowledge the daily beer tasting, a real treat. Please support one of the last Bed & Breakfasts (maybe the last) instead of AirBnB.
