We were greeted by a friendly fella. He helped us find our space. First impressions of this were the decorating there seems to be hunting paraphernalia everywhere... wood cutting , antlers mounts that kind of thing. It is called the woodsman and I can safely say caters more to men who are hunting. For instance, the toilet seat was handcrafted out of acrylic with large bullets embedded in it. And the bathroom was OK except they really need an updated sink and tub in that space. There's a wall air conditioning unit. They always make more noise than I prefer. We were in an internal room so we didn't hear too much outside noise. But Access was difficult. You can't really park in front of your door for half of the rooms in the "L". We had to step up and go down a hall to get to our door and that was our exterior window view as well the hallway. The ice machine was broke, but they had a second machine that was filled with ice next to it. The bed was pretty tall for short people like us and not good for side sleepers unless you want your shoulders to hurt in the morning. The quilt was in serious need of replacement. There were some nice drawers and chairs to sit in, but in addition to that there is some dated lighting in The microave/coffee pot corner. no breakfast is offered even though the website may say that from the previous owners. The rate was lower than across the street but we tried across the street also and it's a bit nicer, not much but a bit. We walked to the restaurant next-door. It was mostly empty but again friendly people and we got a fried chicken ***** onion rings meal, and a salad that was good.

I’ve stayed in 50-75 different hotels in the last 10 years. I’ve slept in Army barracks at basic training and little trailers in Iraq. I refused to stay here. The room was extremely odd. The bed covers were extremely worn. Must’ve been at least 5-7 years old and washed hundreds of times. I walked in and seen the room

Decor was charming, rustic. Bed was comfortable. Property was dated. Somewhat pricey for what it is. No free breakfast.

This was a nice clean room. It is an old establishment and the decor is nice. However things were rather scant. There was no toilet paper in the room. No bathmat. It was a suite with kitchenette but no silverware or dishes. Cupboards were aplenty but totally empty. There was a plastic silverware bag in one drawer but it was empty. If I stay here again I will ask for these things to be in the room. When we arrived they had gotten a foot of heavy snow the day before and I had to ask to have a path shoveled to our room.

Good value for the price of about $100 for a night. Really nicely, uniquely furnished rooms that are a pleasant change of pace from the generic room layouts you get at the chain motels.
