Oceanfront Lodge

The beds are comfortable and the oceanfront location provides stunning views, creating a perfect setting for a relaxing stay. However, no disadvantages were mentioned in the reviews.

We booked our hotel a week in advance to come down for a funeral and I had personally never been to Crescent city for more than a few hours. I live in a completely different state and disabled so decided to call the hotel talk to them about reservations. They said that we would need to make a reservation through booking, which was fine with us so we did, and put the room number the staff had recommended. Upon arrival we were told to write down our plate number and we had to pay a deposit (was not told of this online or on the phone) our room was not at all what it was advertised on booking. The air conditioner did not work. Light switched didn’t work so we had no lighting and electrical outlet was broken, exposing wires and we have a one year-old with us so that was unsafe for her, dirty bathroom with tub only having hot water, when we brought up upon staff‘s attention they pretty much told us that they had nothing they could offer us, that in the am they could “have maintenance look at it”. Maintenance never came, one of the employees over heard my concerns and said “oh yeah I told you last week the motherboard was out in that ac you said you ordered a new one” So this staff new they did wrong I paid $700 for two days. I was just requesting my money back. The lady at the front desk said she was not allowed to do that, and needed to talk to her “manager Nicky”… its actually the owner and his real name is Xiao Jin Yuan. Who refused to help in anyway unless I would sign a paper saying I was 100% satisfied with my stay. I told them I would not. They waited until 9pm when I came to request towels to call the police and told them they did not want me to stay. I informed the police I had been asking for my money back and I wouldn’t leave no problem. The police officers let them know that they would have to refund me my money and that I would be leaving the hotel. Staff told them that booking charged me not the hotel and then I would have to contact them later found out booking actually gives them my credit card number and the hotel charged me directly, so they lied to the police to get me out of the hotel and committed fraud and use the police of Crescent city California to do it! Seriously skip this town all together, dont spend a dime here

The room was dirty ! You can tell they don’t mop ! The tv didn’t work the shower was broken and looks like the business is being run by kids ! The owner and his family they should do a better job ! Do NOT EVER stay here sooooooo NOT worth the money ! Plenty of nice places down the road that are clean and friendly! The owner stands around and watches all the guests without even saying hi or welcome just stares at everyone very strange at that hotel ! We will NEVER GO BACK !! Save your money and the stress of a mad wife !!
