The property is very nice and our room was nicely decorated but was very small [the smallest room we’ve stayed in since booking through *******] and because Anya [who was helpful when she was there] is only there from 11 am - 8 pm [when we were out and touring] so these hours did not work for us. Communication mostly takes place via text with sporadic response, so it is extremely impersonable. The housekeeping staff are lovely but there is a language barrier so they need to use a translation app to try and answer questions/requests. I would not stay here again.

The interior decor and room furnishings are extremely charming and unique. Our room and views from the balcony were beautiful. Viktoria 'Vic' was the real star of the hotel. Friendly, charming, and so eager to make our stay special. We will definitely stay at Bliss by the Sea when we return to the St. Augustine area.

I was looking for something unique, I found it! It is a beautiful property, not a resort but really interesting. I’m thinking a Bali theme. Very big chunky furniture, that could use a larger space in the room. The outdoor area back toward the River was lovely. Large fountain in a plaza style with heavy tables spread out in a well manicured lawn, could use more landscaping though. There are two soaking pools which I think are meant to be Grecian baths. The breakfast that is provided was well thought out and presented with flair. I would definitely stay here again but upgrade my room to one facing the river with a balcony. I hear some of the rooms have steam showers 😯

Trip cut short
We were on our honeymoon and let the property manager know. We were given a 1st floor room with no window and located next to a men's restroom which had a strong unpleasant smell. Our reservation was cut short because of a hurricane evacuation. We never got to enjoy the beaches or anything because of the storm. We ended up only staying for one night of the four we had planned due to being told to evacuate which scared us.

My wife and I stayed for 3 midweek nights and loved it. We were on the 2nd floor and the balcony view of the Matanzas River was very nice, especially watching the sunset each night. It is unique and well decorated and our room was very comfortable. Price was reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

Room was excellent. We booked a room overlooking the bay. The balcony was spacious. The shower was amazing with the body sprays. The a/c worked well and the room was clean. The bedding was good. Parking spaces are fairly wide. We did not have any breakfast so I can’t comment on it. I would definitely stay hear again PSA. There is a small family restaurant/bar next door that had good food and also has 4 electric vehicle chargers.

Interesting decor, not everyone’s taste. Felt like we were in Bali. We got booked in room 9, next to the kitchen / breakfast area. Room had no windows, so no outside view! Beds were very bulky so be careful when getting up at night. Otherwise very clean and was ok for a one night stay.
