Huntsland House

Used this as a pre airport stay and it is indeed a beautiful house that has been renovated to a very high standard. The room was spacious, bed v comfy, nice to have a bath and it was incredibly quiet given proximity to Gatwick Airport, However the "hospitality" side let it down considerably - it was like staying in a posh relatives house who did not really want you there! Self check in via key box - fine. No shoe rule in house - but no guest slippers provided and floors were solid so slippery in socks - and most strange having to come down to breakfast in your socks!! Breakfast - very basic self service (cheap sliced bread, packaged croissants, packet cereals, packet jams) and, despite advising I was dairy free on my booking, there was no dairy free spread available (or non dairy milk) so all I could have was plain toast and jam. Having to then buy breakfast at airport was not the plan. This could be a super place with more attention to guests' experience. I did contact the owner directly to provide feedback before posting here, but have had no response, hence sharing experience.

PERFECT! 10/10 Absolutely fantastic, exceeded our expectations by miles! Room was lovely and bed was so so comfy (four poster bed, fantastic surprise) it was an amazing room, good tv nice bathroom too! AMAZING. The architecture of the house was also beautiful. The breakfast had everything you needed and desired! The owners were also lovely and friendly! Exceptional value and in a perfect location for all the National Trust locations

A B and B of five star hotel quality. This is a little gem of a place to stay- all the rooms are calm and comfortable very clean and quiet. The sheets are lovely cotton and comfortable. There is an air of peace and tranquility and just a little quirky!

Good for our requirements Picked for the location. Lovely grounds and house. All newly refurbished. Nice room and bathroom. Only issue was the bed being very hard so not a good nights sleep. Lovely and quiet though.

Had an amazing long weekend here with friends for one of thier milestone birthdays. Venue was superb being very close to Gatwick for those flying in from Europe. No disruption at all from aircraft as this is not on the flight path. The hosts were particularly helpful in helping us sort additional bits and pieces locally. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Catching a flight from Gatwick we found this gem of a property only 10 minutes from the airport. It’s a country house in a secluded village location with spacious, airy rooms tastefully and recently refurbished. The delightful gardens feature a lake, and there’s ample parking.
