Fantastic two night break at the Old Inn. Stumbled into the monthly pub quiz on the first night. Had excellent breakfasts both days with a great meal in the restaurant the 2nd night. Spa was thoroughly relaxing. Lovely sipping a cocktail in the pool.

Got married at the Old Inn in November 2015 and always enjoy returning for our wedding anniversary. Staff were very welcoming as always and our room was clean and very comfortable. Minibar with complementary soft drinks a nice touch as well. I’m also very glad that Galgorm group have retained the traditional style in the rooms in keeping with the old building. We had booked a 3 course meal with our stay as well. The food was excellent, I had the venison which was cooked to perfection and we were delighted to receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco with our meal since it was our anniversary. Service at breakfast was great. One of the waiters noticed me stirring my teapot and very kindly brought me a stronger brew - I like my tea very strong! Didn’t avail of the spa facilities so I can’t comment on them. Maybe next time. Thanks again Jackie and Mark

Room and spa beautiful, there was a wedding on in the hotel so the spa was quiet which was nice, overall facilities were good. My husband had fish and chips and the chips were cold but they did replace with hot chips. I had poached corn fed chicken in barley which really was chicken soup which was nice but was not worth £28.00. The General Food and drinks was overpriced The biggest disappointment was the breakfast the next morning, we both had a cooked breakfast which was cold, I have never had a cold poached egg before and the plates were cold too. The continental breakfast was warmer than the cooked breakfast. Overall I will not be staying again, I was booked this by family for my 60th birthday which I was not given a card as I have previously received in the sister hotel the galgorm, Overall disappointed compared to the last time I stayed with the previous owners of the old inn

As part of the Galgorm group, a hotel we are very fond of, we had high expectations. On a positive note the staff were very friendly and helpful- I couldn't fault any one of them. The room was nice enough, however the floor boards were very creaky and bathroom could do with being updated- the shower screen wasn't sealed well and leaked all of the floor. There were no plugs beside the bed- a pet hate of mine! The spa was nice, we spent most of our time in the hot tub which was lovely. We did get into the pool and noticed the jets were only working on one side. It's easy to order drinks to your area using the QR code, even if the cocktails are pricey at 14.20 each. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely however there was a wedding on and they had only pulled a curtain across to separate the two so it was quite loud- the band were quite good though! I was most looking forward to breakfast however I was quite disappointed. The choices at the continental buffet were poor- eg cereal there was only Weetabix and overnight oats. Very poor selection of pastries or breads- a staple of a good continental breakfast, I believe. The cooked breakfast is cooked to order and was ok but again I think there could have been more choice like possibly an omelette. Overall I would say it was just ok, there's definitely improvements that could be made.

My wife and decided to have lunch today at the Old Inn Crawfordsburn. A beautiful setting, great ambience, lovely staff, however, at the suggestion of our waitress I foolishly ordered still water for our table. My meal, fish and chips, was tasty but not exceptional, my wife had a burger and was quite pleased with her meal. Food wise, quite good value, however the half litre of still water, which came to our table in an opened Ballygowan Water bottle cost £6.50. How can this price be justified even accepting it was Ballygowan Still Water we were served? We may lunch again at The Old Inn Crawfordsburn but we will certainly not be ordering still water at that price. This episode simply took from what should have been an enjoyable experience.

Afternoon tea was a real treat. I have been here many times and love the old inn atmosphere. It was a family celebration and we really enjoyed the tasty treats on offer. We also appreciated the complimentary refills on our selected teas and coffees with our food. It wasn't busy, and we had a lovely big table in the main restaurant, very comfortable with plush cushions. In the past I've experienced big problems with parking, which is limited and honestly this has often put me off from visiting more frequently, however on this occasion we had no difficulty getting into the car park. Staff were pleasant and standard of food was very good. We had a lovely selection of savouries and sandwiches, with beautifully fresh scones and some really pretty sweet treats. All in all a perfect afternoon. I will definitely be going again.

Very disappointed with the accommodation for the price. All seemed tired and needing an update. Bathroom toilet even quite stained around the rim. The tea and coffee was just minimal and the sugar was so old it wouldn’t come out of the packet. Attention to detail not as I was expecting. One last thought is that the staff could be more friendly. All in all it was not at all what I was hoping for.

The hotel is lovely as are the village and surrounding areas. The Tree tops Spa is incredibly beautiful with such great use of a comparatively small space. Staff were very helpful and friendly, even gave my daughter and me a late check out. We were in a room that was waiting refurbishment and whilst it was lovely, the lighting was really poor. The downside to this review is breakfast. Very basic 1 rasher of bacon, 1 bland sausage, 2 eggs and a potato something that was also very bland and black pudding with half of a tomato. Given that we were in Ireland I was surprised to note no white pudding, no mushrooms, no beans and we had to ask for toast! Tea and coffee were late arriving and there was no sugar on the buffet table for cereals. The napkins have clearly seen better days being very worn and 'nobbly' would be better to have the local laundry's plain white naps. Could do very much better...
