Almo Court Motel

Very pleasantly surprised. Older motel that has been remodeled. Very clean and very nice. Parking was a little tight. It was a very good value. Lady at front desk was not the friendliest, but I would definitely stay at this property again. Buttons on the air conditioner were well used and a little difficult to read but cooled well once we got it adjusted.

Very clean room and bathroom. very welcoming and friendly front desk lady who remembered why we came to Cranbrook. Made us feel like we were long time friends. Just off main thoroughfare. Care taken with the many flower baskets to create a mountain get-away

The room is clean, newly renovated, inexpensive and located just on the highway. Parking is good. The room has air conditioning. It’s not fancy, just a good place to stay while travelling. I will definitely stay here again. They do not allow pets.

Barbara and her husband own the place. She and her husband do everything themselves, I mean everything. The place is immaculate. The hanging baskets would grace the Chelsea Flower Show The room was lovely, the bathroom was sparkling the chrome work gleamed. Towels were great Ladies, the toilet and the bath were spotless. They take pride in their establishment they are proud Canadians.

The room was clean. We did have some plumbing issues with the toilet, which my husband had to fix himself witth the plunger he obtained from the front desk. It was evident when we checked in there was a previous issue. Hotel is older. Front desk staff was nice. Check in was not until 5:00 and there was no option at the time to check in early as the front office was closed until then.

Well the rooms were clean but the service leaves a wee bit to be desired. The lady at the desk was brisk and spoke very curtly. There was no one at the desk in the morning even much after the 10:00 am sign on the door.

We are looking to stay here as we usually stay at Elizabeth Lake Lodge at 590 Van Horne St and the Lodge was getting too expensive for our 4 night Stay at Cranbrook plus that one is at the very end of Van Horne making the drive 2 of the days we are there to therapy just outside Jaffray lengthy both ways! 35 minutes! 50 in construction 🚧 traffic. My parents like that Almo Court Motelis cheaper and the 1950s building but the no smoking family suite we were shown (24) was too small for us. I saw there are 2 bed kitchen suites with a bed in a separate room which would work for us in the pics on Trip Advisor. The reason why we won't stay is due to the strong cleaner in the rooms the Motel owner/maid staff uses to clean them gave my parents a headache. Has anyone had issues with the strong cleaner smell in that family suite or any other suites?. That is why it is a 3 out of 5 stars. We will stay once the cleaning product is changed to a less fragrant/potent one. I have asked the cleaner strength question in May 2020 with no reply from guests or motel staff or the owner on Trip Advisor Q &A. We looked at this motel May 2020. Bryce Goossen Kelowna BC

My Aunt and Uncle stayed here last week. I suggested this motel as it was very close to family, and walking distance to amenities. Upon check in, I was pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to their room. It was beautiful. Not what I expected at all for a motel. The room was very clean, and well taken care of. Very spacious and included a small kitchenette. There was a patio set outside their door, which had great views. Definitely a place to consider when booking a room in Cranbrook. I would recommend this motel to someone looking for accommodations.
