When I booked the Prestige Cranbrook I specifically asked for an accessible room. I was never informed that you did not provided “accessible rooms” according to the standards outlined in the Accessible British Columbia Act. Room 116 at The Prestige Cranbrook does not meet the requirements and should not be offered The bathroom does not meet the standards of an accessible bathroom room. I don’t have to write a book about it but the toilet /bathub in an inclosed room where a person with disability cannot move easily . You cannot go in with a walker never mind a wheelchair? Two toilet paper holders? Never mind the confine toilet boit was jammed between the wall and seat. My husband who has the disabilities USED THE BATHROOM DOWN THE HALL. I don’t consider myself big or overweight and it was not comfortable for me. It was so confined. There were no other options and for a caregiver it was stressful. Due to the location of room 116 You could not ask for a room any further it was at the end of the hallway next to ice machine, laundry room and game room. There is a restaurant, I was not staying at the Empress hotel to order a la carte. Toast with egg and sausage please….no it comes with potatoes so no toast . For the person reading this review I don’t usually complain but this was not a great stay for the caregiver I am. Prestige Cranbrook DOES NOT HAVE ACCESSIBLE ROOM.

Staff went out of their way to be helpful and the rooms are very nice
