Let me start by saying — this place looks like a five-star resort, and honestly, it’s almost pulling it off. From the front desk to the landscaping, the vibes are immaculate. Reception staff? Absolute pros. Warm, efficient, and welcoming. The hotel itself? Gorgeous. The grounds? Pristine. It cannot go unsaid that the place is surely lovely! But then… housekeeping entered the chat. I don’t know if they were short-staffed or just spiritually opposed to consistency, but cleaning was less “meticulous upkeep” and more “vague suggestion.” Every day was a fresh new episode of What Will They Forget This Time? Towels? Maybe. Trash bins? Who knows. Soap? That’s a Tuesday-only luxury, apparently. One day the bed was made, but the sinks and mirrors clearly hadn’t been touched. Another day, they left their cleaning supplies in the bathroom—so at least some effort was made, I guess? The shower floor remained perpetually sandy, a charming little ecosystem of ants set up camp in our kitchenette, and the grand finale: we returned from a day exploring the stunning Daintree to find our room door left wide open. Thanks, housekeeping. Truly unforgettable. By day five I wasn’t even mad, I was invested. Was this performance art? Were we part of a social experiment? Is this how minimalism starts? So yeah, stunning hotel, flawless front desk, but housekeeping? Shithouse! Blinds are filthy in the rooms and no sheer curtains for day time privacy. Would I return? Maybe. But I’m bringing my own towels. And a mop.

We had a great relaxing 6 nights here the last week of October Check in was easy and our room was clean and close to the pool but still quiet and private (we had a garden view room) The room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfy too The pool was really nice and plenty of shady spots to escape the harsh sun We had breakfast every morning in the restaurant along with dinner and lunch on separate occasions as well as a few drinks - Molly and the team were polite and always happy to oblige We had no issues with shuttles into town which made our dinner plans easy We are already planning next years holiday back here!!

We needed a break after a long Victorian winter & headed north for 4 glorious nights in Port Douglas. The accommodation was perfect and even though we had our own pool we spent more time in the resort pool enjoying the pool bar. The staff were fabulous and we met a couple of stand out staff in the restaurant. Not only could they take our photos they laughed with us and made us feel like we were the only guests. Highly recommend especially in October between school holidays. Perfect!

Hi I stayed for there for 9 nights in September, I have to say from the minute I walked in until the day I left, I stayed in some wonderful hotels and resorts here and overseas but Ive never stayed in one as good as this. All the staff were Friendly, Helpful, Courteous, they all just made you feel so welcome, and all looked like they really enjoyed working there, only too happy to share a joke or have a talk with you From Barbara and all on reception, to Danielle and all in the Restaurant and Bar, all the cleaning staff, just everyone, the room and the Amenities I just couldn't fault anything about this Resort, Nick is so lucky to have these wonderful people working there

We came for some warm weather which Mother Nature provided. There was a fair bit of hype about this resort and we had previously stayed at the Pullman in Palm Cove. This is not a 5 star resort. The staff were excellent. We had a 2 bedroom Villa overlooking the main pool and with a spa on the roof. The pool and spa were great for our 4 year old. The accommodation was a let down. Just a bit shabby and in desperate need of an update. Old school show over a bath. The cupboards etc in the bathroom were rough and damaged. The TV didn’t work and we had to call maintenance. The furniture was fairly rundown. The upstairs spa area was pretty average but at least the spa worked. There was a BBQ but the kitchen equipment was pretty average. It seems that some of these units may be privately owned and run by the resort. The breakfast was ok but really just like any other buffet in a hotel. The resort is actually a fair way out of town but the shuttle buses work well. However, they are private and not part of the resort. Really for the price you expect a 5 star hotel. Would we stay here again? Probably not. It wasn’t unpleasant just overrated.
