The Villa Blanca Gardens is my three-star go to in Cozumel, and I have been there many times. It is away from the hustle and bustle and overcrowding of downtown when cruise ships come in and is generally unaffected by boat tourism. Many folks stay here for the dive, snorkeling and other activities that are available just across the street in front of the facility. One of the best parts is the beautiful garden that is the center of the surrounding rooms. Some good dining opportunities are within walking distance
and the on-site Stingray bar & grill is ok for drinks and a quick bite. However, it is too far to walk to the main shopping areas down town, but it is closer than the all-inclusives further south along the West Coast. A great place to truly relax. I call the Via Blanca "my garden Villa get away' that helps me reset mind and body from my busy life back home. If you didn't want/need the all you can eat and drink crowded scene of the all inclusives, the VB is a good budget option.

A simple, peaceful magical place. This was my 19th year there. Several years ago I lost a leg and these wonderful people make my room and bathroom handicap ready. The staff are friendly, efficient and speak English. Everyone looks like they are happy to come to work. That means a lot to me. There is a restaurant that opens from 7 am to 9:30pm. Great food and staff and a great Happy Hour! I love to sit by the pool in the beautiful garden and read and watch the amusing birds. Their beach is across the street. I will always stay at my home away from home. Thank you Ada and Yara and everyone!

Es un hotel un tanto antiguo, de estilo arquitectónico como neoclasico, que te hace sentir más en casa que en una zona turística. Tiene buena limpieza y atención del personal. Las vistas son muy bonitas, especialmente en las suites y el penthouse, en donde también tienes cocineta, salita y trastes para comer ahí. Tiene 2 albercas, una pequeña que parece jacuzzi para relajarse y una grande para ejercitarte. El agua está a temperatura ambiente, así que depende la épico del año qué tan fría la sientas. Está muy cerca de la playa, solo tienes que cruzar la avenida y ya puedes estar en ella y disfrutar de snorkeling y unas puestas de sol increíbles. También te ofrecen varios tour ahí mismo. Dentro del hotel cuenta con un restaurante que ofrece paquetes de desayuno, snacks y comida/cena de hamburguesas y así. A unos pasos del hotel encuentras otros restaurantes y una tienda de conveniencia (con souvenirs también) y una farmacia. Así que, todo está a la mano. Tambien esta muy cerca de la zona de desembarque de los cruceros y no tan retirado del centro. La verdad, tiene una muy buena relación costo-calidad-comodidad.

Las vistas de la habitación 22 y del penthouse fueron increíbles. Se sentía muy cómoda y bella. Además, la cercanía al mar (cruzando la avenida) hacen que estar ahí sea maravilloso.

Two of us were in Cozumel to scuba dive and have been to Cozumel before but have not stayed at Villa Blanca. The hotel was nice, clean, fine in every way but doesn’t really cater to divers. The pier across the street can be used by dive shops to pick you up with no charge, which is great. However, the restaurant is run separately from the hotel did not open on time, says 7am, but no one was there until 7:20, and we had a boat to catch, so after that, we bought breakfast in the groc store and ate it in the room. We are also disappointed that the hotel didn’t provide drinking water dispensers like many dive resorts do, so we had to buy a lot of plastic bottles. We bring our own water bottles, hoping to fill them up and not add to the plastic waste on the island. There is no outdoor shower to rinse off before going to the room, even tho they do have a pool. And finally a big rinse tank for our equipment would have been great, but we had to do this in the shower. If you are not a diver, this place is fine, but divers beware.
