The hotel is not for families. It is currently under renovation and is noisy. There is no beach for small children at all. You need to go somewhere. It is bearable for adults, but only bearable.
The photos show the views of the hotel and the grounds much better than in reality. There are no ceiling fans! The windows let in rain. There is no airtightness. There is constant rattling due to gusts of wind. The doors of all the rooms slam loudly and the sound carries far. It will be impossible for those who are light sleepers to sleep.
At the same time, we were in a family room and it is good overall. It is just that either they did not finish it, or it is already tired.

Everything about this hotel is as close to perfect as you can get! We had an ocean view room! The room had a very comfortable king-size bed with an amazing view! The restaurant their also has fantastic food and food choices! We will definitely stay again!

There is truly no better place to stay for less! The price was actually so good. I was concerned before getting there. Everything was awesome! The ocean view from our room was spectacular! The food is second to none! We love this place and when we return, we will stay here!

The location is about a ten minute taxi from the ferry drop off - taxi rates are set, and the ride should be 150 pesos (approx $7.50) to and from the “downtown” area. Upon checking in, the hotel first caught ought attention that it is not on the beach. They have a private beach area, but it’s sparse and across the main road. The hotel is still nicely situated with a nice swim up bar pool, a paddle court and half basketball court. There is a pharmacy next door and a couple of nice local restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were nice and clean but the WiFi was VERY lacking. We seldom had much more than a basic signal, and would go to the lobby for a better connection. The rooms were cleaned daily and Al the staff were friendly. There’s an elevator which is always a plus, and overall the experience was positive.

Casa del Mar is a charming resort that although not big and commercialized still includes all you would need to have an absolutely amazing time. You have ocean access with beach chairs, a pool, tennis court, and a wonderful restaurant with bar an incredible service. The rooms are beautiful and its is absolutely the cleanest resort I have ever stayed at. I hope to get to go back soon.

Construction in Progress bed was horrible. Says 100% tobacco free but smoking around pool and at bar was tolerated by staff and management. Very friendly staff. Food was good. Property clean. No elevator for ADA access upstairs and baggage. Room we had was very dated. I think the mattress in our room was from 1975.

I have stayed at this hotel for over 15 years, sometimes more than once per year. But his may be the last time. The staff has been the main reason to return each year, they are really excellent, friendly and efficient.
The hotel needs investment in the bedrooms (both the bedrooms and bathrooms), they are in fairly poor condition. Exterior bathroom windows are not sealed from mosquitoes, showers are poor and tile work generally needs replacement.
The menu in the restaurant has hardly changed in the last 16 years, it needs to improve. The amount of choice is reasonable Ok but the quality needs to improve.
The walkway from the hotel to the beach area has been in disrepair for several years but is now dangerous.
Again I have to mention the staff are great, I hope the hotel can keep them.
