Stayed here for two nights to commemorate the 50th anniversary of my last visit to the Island in the summer of 1975. Would recommend 100%, lovely room, great food, amazing staff and a shout for the Dave the manager for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms clean and well equipped. Location excellent and views spectacular. Breakfast was included and everything you could possibly want on the menu. Food delicious and mostly locally sourced. Could not rate this any better. Excellent value

Booked a table for a family meal, it was busy and we were told it would be 45minutes for food. Food arrived after an hour and 15 minutes. Food was very poor and cold. Meat was very chewy, fish batter was soggy and veg was almost raw. Would not eat there again.

I treated my family to breakfast, but we had to wait an hour for our food to arrive which was far too long. In the mean time I’d got through two coffees, being some of the smallest I’ve ever had, making them quite expensive. The food was fine when it did arrive, but there wasn’t a great deal on the plate. I don’t think I’d bother going again.

We booked in for Sunday lunch las week. The pub was busy but the food came pretty quickly. The food was delicious! And a tasty veggie option too. The service was friendly. And of course, the views across to the ocean were beautiful. What’s not to like?!

We decided to have dinner here on our latest trip to the island and we were not disappointed. Food was well presented and was delicious. I had Isle of Wight Louisiana Burger and my wife had homemade seafood pie, both were superb. We planned to have a dessert but unfortunately the food beat us (maybe next time). We also liked the fact it’s all local produce. The views over the Solent are great too.

Brought some vouchers from price is wight. We all had the mighty bap, which contains the following, bacon, sausage, egg, hash brown .. tasty ingredients, nicely presented. Really good value at 8.95.. Staff snd venue spot on. Ate our brunch. outside looking at the sea, thinking how lucky we are to live on the IOW.

We had Sunday Roast at Woodvale, the staff were really busy but helpful and attentive. Where we sat in the bar we could see there were lots of regular Customers. Our table had a fabulous view across the Solent. We both had roast pork loin with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables Our meal was good, well presented and tasty. For dessert we had sticky toffee pudding. Very happy with our visit, thank you to all the staff, well done, Gary & Alison.
