Residence Inn New Orleans Covington/North Shore

Was helped by Amanda, who checked me into my room. She was incredibly kind and accommodating to me. I travel with a trained service animal and very frequently at hotels I will be discriminated against because I have an invisible disability, or they will charge me a pet fee (without asking ADA law questions). Amanda made sure to ask ADA law questions to confirm that I was traveling with a trained service animal. It’s very clear that Amanda was very informed. She helped me pick a room that would best accommodate me and my service animal. It’s been a long time since I’ve been treated so kindly at a hotel, which is insane to say the least. Shout out to Amanda for making my check-in so seamless and for making me feel welcome. The room was very clean, well stocked, and comfy. The hotel itself is away from the hustle and bustle of Covington, which can be really nice if you need a break. Obviously, it’s not the fanciest hotel around, but it’s definitely clean and it’s perfect if you’re looking for a nicer hotel experience without a huge price tag.

Stayed with my son’s basketball team. Hotel was perfect for this experience, very family friendly. Amanda at the front desk was amazing!! Had an experience with another front desk worker that was not positive and Amanda came in and saved the day! She was helpful and always had a smile!

Hotel is in a great location. Rooms are nice size with lots of room. Bedding and furniture are very comfortable. Shower is not good. No water pressure and very little hot water. Air-conditioning is very loud. It works good, but very hard to sleep when running. Staff are excellent and very welcoming. Overall very nice place to stay. Will definitely return to this location.

The hotel was great. The only “complaint” is that we asked for housekeeping service but never got it.

Nice stay 🙂 We had a wonderful stay. The only complaint we have is that the HVAC system was so loud when it came on that it sounded like a Harley motorcycle was reviving up beside our bed. We were so exhausted from our day at the Ponchatoula strawberry festival, that we eventually just fell asleep and I guess, got used to the noise. Otherwise, it was nice and clean, the lady at the front desk was so nice and helpful, and breakfast was good. I would stay here again if needed. Lovely private area off of the main road too.
