La Casa con Historia es impresionante, a pesar de su antigüedad, está muy reformada y muy bien cuidada y es muy bonita y agradable. En las inmediaciones hay aparcamiento para el coche y nos permitieron ir acompañados de nuestro perrito. La atención del personal es inmejorable.

The inn looks more like an abandoned house. We arrived at 6:30 pm with 2 children to check in, it was 4 degrees, we had our bags, and we were ringing the intercom for 20 minutes without any signal. The whole house was turned off. We only discovered that check-in should be done at another hotel in the chain because a guest received a delivery and informed us. We had received notification about the check in format by email, but we had not seen it. But the worst thing was when I went to take a shower, when I tried to open the blindex shower stall that was stuck, it collapsed! Luckily I didn't get hurt. We had to leave at 11:30 pm to inform the reception of the other hotel about the accident. They accommodated us in the other hotel, which is very good, and to our disappointment, no one from management contacted us to ask how I was due to the accident. It was the worst hotel experience of my life! My children were terrified by the whole situation. I will attach a photo of the box to make it clear what a horrible situation it was. Last point: the photos of the hotel are not like reality.

We had a great stay at this house. Built at the turn of last century, and greatly renovated recently, the new owners introduced all manner of modern convenience while maintaining the original spirit of the house. Our room was spacious, very well appointed, very quiet and private. There are some common spaces downstairs that we also enjoyed as well as a small terrace with a good view of the valley below. The owner gave us a tour of the house and presented its history, and it is evident that she takes great pride in hosting. The staff was also very attentive and responsive. A must if you consider staying at Covilhã.
