There are not many hotels that go above and beyond to make you feel like royalty. The restaurant was just as accommodating for my vegan diet. The gardens with the lovely falls colours were not only made a loving stroll but photogenic.

Nous avons passé deux nuits dans cette belle demeure qui a beaucoup de cachet. Ici pas de luxe ostentatoire mais du raffinement et une belle mise en valeur de ce château historique. Alors oui, dans notre (belle) chambre le vieux parquet grinçait sous la moquette, les fenêtres n'étaient pas doubles vitrage et les différentes lampes tamisées étaient un peu juste pour la lecture. Mais tout ceci a beaucoup de charme. Les salles de restaurant sont belles notamment celle de la véranda avec des jeux de couleurs pastels. Le petit déjeuner, servi à table est bien, avec de délicieux œufs brouillés au safran. Un petit bémol pour l'assiette saumon, jambon et fromage pas très originale. Nous avons pu avoir une très agréable dégustation de champagnes personnalisée avec une personne de l'hôtel, Charles, très pédagogue et sympathique. La qualité du personnel est un point fort de l'établissement. Que ce soit à l'accueil ou au restaurant, pas de service pesant ou affecté mais efficace, souriant et chaleureux. C'est très agréable. Bref une grande et belle maison qui fait honneur à la grande hôtellerie française. Nous reviendrons.
