Chateau de Courban et Spa Nuxe

My second visit to Courban and this beautiful Chateau. Last time (July 2024) a mate and I finished our road trip here and the experience was truly amazing from booking in with Manon to the extraordinarily magnificent room and the most amazing food I'd ever tasted. This year I took my wife at the end of our Italian road trip and the only thing that had changed, apart from my companion, is Manon had gone and Patricia greeted us. What a lovely lady who was both interested and interesting, thank you for your lovely welcome. The experience didn't disapoint once more and can only be described as exceptional, the room was lovely once again comfortable and with great views over the courtyard. The tasting menu was of course different but the effort and skill in preparing, and delivering exceptional food wasn't wasted on me or my wife, it is truly a step up from anything we've had before. I had the 5 course my wife could only manage the 3 course but with the Amuse Bouche we were both very satisfied. When you've finshed dinner stand outside by the steps into the main building and listen to the amazing frogs!!

Unfortunately we arrived much later than planned, so weren't able to take advantage of the facilities, as we had hoped. Nevertheless we were made to feel welcome - our room was very comfortable - and the setting is great! If we travel that way again, we would definitely revisit - but make sure we get there in plenty of time!

Beautiful chateau and grounds. Exceptional service. We stayed one night en route home from Provence and it makes an excellent place to break a long journey but we could have stayed at least another night.

Having stayed at the chateau several times now I can safely say that we enjoy our visits. Situated in a tiny village convenient for the motorway, and surrounded by beautiful countryside, chateau de Courban is a lovely complex of old and new with outdoor swimming pools and a great restaurant. The rooms are well appointed and maintained with good bathrooms. Excellent breakfast, safe parking and pet friendly.

This is a chateau from the textbook. Starred restaurant, super cosy and tons ambiance. It's rated 4 star, but feels closer to 5. When the ( very fair) prices are factored in, you feel that this experience was very much of a worthwhile time spent in the Bourgogne.

Lovely hotel, fantastic rooms. Pool was closed. Food is expensive but great
