We spent a lovely 24 hours in the Shandon! The staff were all very welcoming, the food was delicious and the view from our room was amazing. It was stormy when we were there so watching the sea from the comfort of the cosy hotel was a treat! The open fire in the foyer was very welcoming

We stayed as a family visiting the Santa experience. Honestly this was one of the best Santa experiences we have visited. Santa and the elf came to our room to visit the kids. It was great there was no time limit on this and didn’t really rushed. The wonderful member of staff Niall Doherty, the infamous DJ Elfie really made our stay. The effort he puts into the Christmas kids disco was just class. Then at breakfast the next morning, Niall remembered all the kids name’s and the toys on their lists. I also work in customer service and know importance of these small details. Have to commend all staff we came into contact with they were just lovely. The lovely Stacy on reception had a very warm welcome for us too. The Santa and Ronaldo the elf were class. I will be most definitely recommending to our friends and family.

The service, staff, food , bedroom,spa and leisure centre and views were excellent... A great experience in the spa ,,my husband and I really enjoyed the treatments.delivered by very professional staff. Warm welcome on arrival... The breakfast had a great selection of food... It was very tasty. If only we could bottle the amazing changing room views and take it home.... Owen in the bar went" the extra mile."

I got the blissful package, it was such good value for money and lovely experience, I had Eileen and my boyfriend had Nadia , both were excellent and we both fell asleep. Would highly recommend. The Indian head massage was the best part! Unbelievable

We stayed at the Shandon for a family Xmas night, this is our second time Experience for kids and adults is 2nd to none Food is excellent and reasonably priced We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't fault the hotel or staff. We hope to be back soon for a couples relax and will be looking out for the Santa experience again Beds are super comfy, rooms perfectly cleaned and for a busy time with a lot of young kids around noise was at a minimum despite all the excitement of Santa doing his rounds Great place to stay

I had the most restful and relaxing time at the Shandon. My room was on the fourth floor where the view was breathtaking. The bed was extremely comfortable. Staff were super helpful and accommodating. The hotel is close to the most beautiful beach. Looking forward to returning.

Shandon Hotel is not aesthetically attractive but t's position overlooking the Atlantic more than makes up for the outside of the buildings. The views are amazing particularly whilst sitting in a hot tub in -2 degrees. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The main restaurant Marbles was not open so it was Beats Bar food however we could not fault the food it was delicious and to be able to see the mountains and ocean whilst eating was very special. As it was my birthday we had our room upgraded and were welcomed to the suite with small dainty cakes a lovely touch. It is a 4 star hotel and lacks a little of the luxury you would expect but staff and food balance it out.
