Hostería Hacienda Pinsaqui

We loved our stay here, we were made to feel extremely welcome by all of the staff especially Andrea. The gardens were beautiful and we loved walking around the grounds before sunset enjoying the incredible view of Cotacachi. The horses roam the grounds along with ducks and geese which is really lovely to see. We were treated to live music and welcome drinks which Andrea organised for us, it was definitely a highlight of our trip. They made especially vegan empanadas to accommodate group dietary requirements which was wonderful. Our room was beautiful and we had water bottles placed in our beds in the event we became cold as the rooms are obviously very old - our sleep was always really comfortable. The hacienda is steeped in history and it was wonderful to spend some time there. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and we loved winding down in front of the fire in the gallery.

The welcoming by arrival was a bit frosty, so was all the Hacienda! The location outside Otovalo is ok but not excellent, near a main road. The Hacienda is getting old, maintenance is poor, doesn’t make a good feeling arriving there. In the evening they organize a welcome drink with local musicians, that was nice, but also here the room was cold. Our room was spacious but smelled strong musty. You will have to like the historical atmosphere and furniture! Not a nice experience for us, the improvement potential is enormous, but missing a good manager!

My tour only stayed 1 night but it was great. There was a welcome event prior to dinner where they played some traditional music and gave us welcome drinks. Room was excellent as i stayed in one of the exterior houses , but there was a main area outside of my room with a fireplace table and some couches where I set with some of my tour people and just stopped for an hour or two after dinner. That was super cool. It is not one hundred percent ADA for for anyone experiencing any kind of injury or handicap, but it was very nice. There was A. Tree running through the middle of my room and a balcony on our house which had three rooms in it. No tv but I stream everything anyway. There were a lot of places to walk around the property and we learned about haciendas we're a form of controlling workers and indigenous people until the 1970s. The family who owned this property and hotel had been around for least 5 generations.And we're very attentive to our needs and the food was great.

Hacienda Pinsaqui is a hidden gem of a place to stay in Otavalo. We were there near the beginning of December and couldn’t have had a better experience. Our room was quiet with a view of grazing horses and scenery. King bed, nice bathroom and they provided bed warmers when we returned from dinner. Very elegant but cozy dining room with a view of their beautiful gardens. The staff was very attentive and served up yummy meals. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. 350 years old but of course, updated. Highly recommend staying here for a taste of colonial Ecuador.

This historic hotel located at the base of Imbabura Volcano was originally a colonial textile enterprise, it has hosted notable figures, including General Simón Bolívar The attentive staff enhances the experience, ensuring a memorable stay. LOCATION: Conveniently situated just outside Otavalo, Hacienda Pinsaqui serves as an excellent base for exploring local attractions like the Otavalo Market and Imbabura Volcano. Its proximity to the Pan-American Highway makes it easily accessible, though some road noise can be present. DINE + DRINK:The on-site restaurant offers a delightful array of Ecuadorian and international dishes, emphasizing organic, local, and seasonal ingredients. Meals are served in a dining room adorned with lovely chandeliers and leather-backed chairs, overlooking a wonderful garden. The Bar that is located in a former Stables is a magical place to unwind in the evening wth your favorite drinks. This was one of the top highlights of our stay! ROOM: We stayed in Room 15, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; VIEW: Lovely views of the greenery from the balcony above; AIR-CON: The room comes with a lovely old world FIREPLACE that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good quality toiletries FACILITIES: No Gym or pool on site. But the hacienda boasts extensive grounds with walking paths, a chapel, and a reading library. Activities such as horseback riding, mountain biking, and hiking are available for guests seeking adventure. SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! No Television in the room

Wonderful experience OUR EXPERIENCE WAS JUST AMAZING, WE LOVE EVERY SINGLE MOMENT. IF I HAVE MORE TIME I WILL BE THERE IN A MINUTE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR EVERYTHING
