We had been really looking forward to our second visit to Paradisus Salinas by Melia in Lanzarote after enjoying the experience so much last year. Despite some difficulty getting into the airport when we arrived (due to weather) our first one and half days were fantastic – everything as we remembered it and more. Then, at lunchtime on our second day, the storms came with knocked out the electricity and all facilities. The way the management and every staff member reacted to this crisis was extraordinary. Within aroud three hours the manager called all guests to a briefing. His calm but business-like approach to the whole situation was incredible – he is a credit to the Melia company. As are every single one of his staff. The briefings and communications continued regulary throughout. Everyone was so professional, caring and calm in what must have been as devastating for them as it was for us. Whilst we did feel worried and vulnerable, this was entirely down to the lack of response, for such a long time, from TUI, and in no way due to the treatment we had from the hotel staff. We are still following the progress of what has turned out to be extensive damage to the hotel and wish all the staff good luck with a speedy re-opening. We have already booked again for next year. Thank you to everyone at Paradisus.

Abbiamo festeggiato il mio compleanno al Paradisus Lanzarote ed è stato spettacolare! Un grazie a tutto lo staff dell’Hotel, veramente gentili ed educatissimi, sempre pronti ad accoglierti con un sorriso ed una battuta! La camera era stupenda, il letto comodissimo e la vista dal balcone valeva il viaggio! Tutti i ristoranti all’interno del Paradidus sono di gran livello e la colazione è indimenticabile. Vorremmo fare una menzione particolare alle ragazze del ricevimento del The Reserve e al collega andaluso del Ginger bar, che ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa! Un ringraziamento a Francesca Monina che da remoto ha fatto si che il nostro soggiorno fosse perfetto! Speriamo di tornare presto, Grazie a tutti! Elena & Lorenzo

Although our stay was unfortunately cancelled due to the flood, Chloé went above and beyond to assist us. She made the rebooking process incredibly smooth and stress-free, which truly helped ease the anxiety we were feeling. We are so grateful for the exceptional care and support. Este comentario va dirigido directamente al spa y a cualquier profesional del bienestar que esté considerando trabajar allí. Comparto mi experiencia personal con la intención de prevenir que otras terapeutas pasen por una situación similar. Fui contratada para trabajar en este spa con una serie de condiciones que, lamentablemente, no se cumplieron. Me trasladé desde Toledo con la promesa de un contrato indefinido, alojamiento incluido y dietas cubiertas. Sin embargo, la realidad fue muy distinta. Durante mi tiempo allí, observé una alta rotación de personal. Me comentaron que en el spa que tienen en Gran Canaria habían pasado hasta 30 personas, y muchas no llegaban a cumplir ni dos meses. El ambiente laboral, desde mi punto de vista, era desorganizado y poco saludable. Hubo tensiones internas y un trato que me pareció poco profesional en varios momentos. A pesar de haber recibido valoraciones muy positivas por parte de los clientes (5 estrellas, propinas e incentivos), mi contrato fue rescindido antes de finalizar el periodo de prueba. Se me alegó una supuesta falta de capacidades, algo que considero injustificado dado el feedback recibido. Esta situación me dejó sin trabajo, lejos de casa y sin apoyo por parte de la empresa. Además, durante mi estancia trabajé jornadas largas (de 10 h a 18:30 - 19 h), hasta ocho días seguidos, sin ver apenas la luz del sol. Me sentía físicamente agotada y emocionalmente drenada. También sufrí un accidente de tráfico al volver a casa y no recibí seguimiento ni apoyo por parte de la empresa. Otra situación que me preocupó fue que no recibí el contrato hasta un mes después de haber empezado a trabajar, algo que considero irregular. Comparto esto porque creo que es importante que otras profesionales estén informadas antes de tomar una decisión. Recomiendo que, si alguien está considerando una oferta con esta empresa externa (que colabora con hoteles como Meliá), investigue bien y valore otras opciones. Este mensaje no busca difamar, sino simplemente dar voz a una experiencia que, en mi caso, fue muy negativa. Ojalá que este tipo de situaciones cambien y que se valore a las personas que trabajan con vocación, buscando siempre el bienestar del cliente y un entorno laboral justo y respetuoso.

Regrettably, we were unable to proceed with our booking due to the hotel’s temporary closure as a result of the flood damage. Nonetheless, the standard of customer service received throughout the process of amending our reservation was exemplary. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Lara from the Reservations team and Chloe, the Guest Experience Manager, for their professionalism and outstanding support.

Mi opinión realmente no puede ser del hotel, porque no lo he llegado a visitar, por desgracia, a pesar de la ilusión que nos hacía a mi mujer y a mi. Teníamos una reserva para abril de 2025, pero unos días antes el alojamiento se vio afectado por unas inundaciones en la zona. Donde otros quizás habrían cancelado la reserva y ahí te quedas sin tus vacaciones a 4 días del viaje, a nosotros nos contactó la responsable de reservas del hotel y nos ofreció varias alternativas. Una de ellas, la que cogimos, fue realojarnos en Tenerife en un hotel de la misma cadena, con las mismas condiciones (incluso, en nuestro caso, superiores, porque las mismas no las tenía el hotel de destino), haciéndose ellos cargo de todos los gastos que ello pudiera ocasionar, incluyendo los billetes de avión. La respuesta que ha tenido Meliá para este suceso ha sido exquisita, priorizando el bienestar del cliente a sus propios beneficios. El trato de Lara, quien nos ha contactado, ha sido excelente a pesar de la dificultad de la situación (imaginaos contactar con tooooodos los inquilinos de tantos días y tratar de forma personalizada a cada uno). En fin, poco más se puede decir... Las catástrofes naturales son impredecibles, pero que se hagan cargo de la situación de esta forma (ojo, sin ser su obligación), hace que mis planes a futuro pasen por confiar en esta empresa sin dudarlo. Tan solo esperamos poder visitar pronto Lanzarote, y alojarnos en Meliá Salinas, y así recuperar todos los planes que las inundaciones nos han estropeado.

Second time at this lovely hotel. If you want nice food, good quality drinks and a relaxing environment this is the place to go. The staff here (especially the cleaning staff) work so hard, the place is spotless and there is always a member of staff visable in the main guest area to help with any queries. Sadly we were there for the flood that closed the hotel and were re located for the last 24 hours of our stay. I would like to say thank you to the Manager and your wider team for looking after your guests as best you could in such difficult circumstances. From 9am when we were told the hotel would close, we were kept updated and were settled in our new hotel by 12.30. Quite remarkable considering the volume of holidaymakers you had to deal with. Incredible week-long stay at this hotel. Beds were amazingly comfortable, like no hotel bed I’ve ever experienced. The hotel is a concept hotel designed by famous Lanzarote artist Cesar Manrique and the wonderful Dalyne explained the history to us. The open-topped foyer is spectacular and when it’s sunny it’s bright in the hotel, when it rains it rains into the lush plants and waterfalls they have. The buffet was incredible and I’ve read reviews saying repetitive but I’d disagree. We had sushi nights, amazing seafood nights, local cuisine nights, roast meat nights… So much choice. Always fresh fruit, always lots of salad, meat, fish, veg. Vegetarians are happy, I’m dairy-free and there was plenty for me to enjoy. Fizz station at breakfast for anyone starting early! The staff could not be friendlier, the pool bar measures are very generous and all the brand names. Cocktails were delicious and quick. The pool is stunning (if cold, but I hear they are installing solar heating). Minutes from the pool is a beautiful beach and we took our coffee down there after breakfast every morning. Gorgeous. There are lots of activities on offer and all align with Manrique’s idea of embracing Lanzarote so yoga and meditation are on a palm-lined area by the beach where you can feel the sun and hear the sea. Pilates was on floating platforms on the pool. Lots of people engaged. For €15 per person you can privately enjoy the spa (jacuzzi, sauna, steam) for an hour with a beautiful view of the gardens. Lovely a la carte restaurants. We enjoyed Samira and it’s very very good food. Shops and longer stretches of beach are minutes walk. The hotel is a short distance from the airport. Every night there is live music and often everyone is up dancing - if you want to! This hotel was a total treat and poolside is calm and peaceful, no banging music. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. We read good reviews and I’m happy to add to that. We were relaxed, happy, well-fed and well looked after :)

This is a beautiful hotel with great food, great drinks and some amazing staff. We had a great time and would definitely return. There are some members of Staff we would like to mention… Alberto, he was so helpful with our suitcases and he went out of his way to assist us on many occasions throughout our holiday. Well done Alberto Two lovely young ladies Dalyne and Soraya they both made us laugh and included us in their activities. Andreas couldn’t do more for us, always greeted us with a big smile when we went into the bar. All in all these lovely people definitely added to our lovely experience at this hotel. Well done everyone, hope to see you again. I highly recommend this hotel. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️
