Arrived last Saturday. On Sunday we spent a nice day at the pool only to return to the room to find my gold watch and my mum’s 2 weddings rings had gone, other less expensive jewellery was left. Reported to reception to be told that there is no cleaning service on a Sunday…they didn’t just disappear and no cleaning service doesn’t necessarily mean nobody has access to the room. My mum passed aeay in December so absolutely gutted. Advice was to report to the local police. To top it off staff then refused to enter our room so no cleaning was done for a week and we had to request clean towels etc from reception. Felt we were getting punished for theiving staff! Food etc was ok but I wouldn’t feel safe leaving possessions in the room, you shouldn’t have to pay for a safe to ensure your stuff isn’t stolen.

I have just returned home from my 2nd stay at this resort and I, like many people I spoke to during my stay, do not understand all the negative reviews this hotel gets. It’s basic - sure - but that’s what you pay for. However, it’s clean and the staff are very friendly. I visited with my 15 year old daughter who can be a fussy eater but we found the food to be more than adequate. I especially liked the theme nights that varied from Asian to Mexican and a traditional Spanish tapas night. We stayed in a duplex and it had all we need. It wasn’t 5* luxury but it never claimed to be. It had all we needed and was clean and functional. Housekeeping was regular and even had a TV where we could find some UK channels if we wanted something on in the background while we got ready. Yes it doesn’t have much in the immediate vicinity but a short €5 taxi ride into town took us to plenty of shops and beaches. We often went out after breakfast and came back for lunch. Even after lunch we could easily find 2 sunbeds together for an afternoon of sunbathing and swimming. I cannot praise the staff enough - in particular Beatrice in reception who went out of her way to help me with a medical emergency. She was an absolute star and made what could have been a disaster into an easily resolved situation. Legend. In short, if you are expecting anything other than a 3* resort, this won’t be for you. But if you want a budget, nice relaxing getaway with a big pool then I highly recommend. I will certainly consider coming back for a 3rd time!!

Just returned from this hotel, booked last min. Must admit wasn't looking forward to it cos like most people I read the reviews after I'd booked. It was no where near as bad as I expected it to be. Food was OK with small variations each day although we only had about 5 brekkys 3 lunches and 3 evening meals there. Beds are memory foam so, in my opinion not the comfiest. The rooms are basic and although one of the reviews I read said hospitality tray was replenished daily there was no hospitality tray, just a kettle and fridge. There are a couple of bars and supermarket's around the hotel but the hotel has both on site and they are well stocked and reasonably priced. A taxi into Caletta was never more than €4 and there are plenty shops and bars there. You can also walk there in around 40 mins but please be aware it is sometimes very windy, I went for a run early one morning, it's just short of 5km there and back but felt like I had ran 10k it was sooo windy. I can't comment on the evening entertainment as we only went down once but the children in the hotel seemed to enjoy it. We took our stepson with us, he's 16 and he enjoyed the daytime entertainment. The hotel dealt with a small incident that happened in the restaurant (similar to one already mentioned in another review) in a satisfactory way but the communication was between our rep and the hotel staff, the rep didn't relay the outcome to us and we were told when checking out but that was nothing to do with the hotel rather the rep not passing on information.

Where do I start ??? Me and my wife booked this for our honeymoon the place looked lovely rooms looked good on website. We turn up to the hotel at around 10pm got given our key and sent to a room over the back of the complex. WELL I wouldn’t even let my dogs stay in it !! It had a stained old sofa, 2 wooden chairs, 2 broken old beds, the toilet was not washed was disgusting, no air conditioning we had to hire a fan €10 a day, you stepped out the back door there was a wall 10 ft high you couldn’t see anything with rusty water tank in. I went to complain and said we want another room which we was told no there’s no rooms left, I wouldn’t take no as an answer !! It’s not what we booked up for !! In the end they said they will upgrade our room but would cost me €105 ! So had to pay it. The upgraded room was ok not worth the extra money really but will do. The food on the all inclusive is very samey and basic a lot of it cold. The night entertainment is dreadful !! They play bingo and there so tight for pens you have to use toothpicks! We was there 7 nights and 3 of the nights there were arguments and swearing shouting between the brits infront of the kids. Overall the hotel is a no go !!! 1/10 !!! No way a 3 star. The hotel has nothing around it. It is a 40min walk into the nearest town which is nothing special at all, everything in the shops are so expensive, a cab journey to the town is about €5. But as I said there’s nothing there. They have a market on down there twice a week but still so expensive no point trying to get a bargain because it won’t happen. The only good thing to come out this holiday was the rum and coke was nice lol. Would not recommend this hotel what so ever !! Or wouldn’t go back to fuertventura as not my cup of tea not much to do at all.

I travelled on my send solo holiday and all the staff were amazing, providing with details of what to do as I was alone. Milwana the receptionist was exceptional she was so ran off her feet one day but she smiled and still gave exceptional service, she is an asset to the hotel, I wish her all the best in her journey at the hotel regards Pam room 106

Happy and friendly staff - especially the bar staff as usually (on an evening) the bar would get busy but the staff were always happy and quick at getting our orders. All inclusive is 2 drinks per person but you can go to the bar as many times as you like, so no complains from me! Our room was clean with a lovely view. Day time entertainer is always trying to get people involved in the sports/ activities so that was good as there was always things to do outside of relaxing. The food even though did change each day, I didn’t find myself eating a lot of what was on offer as I didn’t find a lot of it appealing, but it’s only a short trip into the town centre with taxis only costing €4 max so again, was happy with the cost. For what we paid for the hotel, it was good value for money and was happy.
