Brilliant location, €30 taxi ride away from airport and a 5 min walk from the beach! Friendly staff, stunning clean hotel. Lovely pools which were always clean. Can’t recommend it enough!

Hotel was amazing and the staff were fabulous, definitely be back. Bit shout out too Damaris, Tania, Ricardo, Theresa, Rubens and Flávio, they were great. 😊

Mixed review. Location - good. Although bit of a hill back from the beach front. Not too busy or too quiet. Rooms - small clean and comfortable beds. Only three floors of bedrooms. We ended up on ground floor which wasn’t what we wanted as we like to have a proper balcony but I wouldn’t have made a difference being on the second floor as quite low down so wasn’t very private. Breakfast - we had b&b didn’t really use breakfast. Had a croissant a few mornings but nothing special. Lots of choice if you wanted to utilise their facilities. POOLSIDE- first glance, happy with the poolside and sunbed area. Very quiet and no lilos or balls allowed. No music to be played by them or the guest. So bare that in mind. I would say on the smaller side. They also had two other sunbathing areas not on ground floor. One had a pool and the other did not so was not very sort after. This was the biggest let down for us. Clearly not enough sunbeds around the ground pool area. Hotel has a strict policy of not reserving sunbeds with the towels they provide for you, yet this is ignored with guest coming down at 7am and reserving a sunbed before breakfast. When we woke at 8:30 every other morning the sunbeds were already filled with towels reserving beds and no people on them. This was not ideal but we also had to then go out and sit on our sunbeds to get a bed for the day. After this, We seen one lifeguard go around at 10:30 ripping people’s towels off on sunbeds. This was not very nice at all. I would have really been angry if this had been done to me, people were visibly scared to get in the pool or pop for a drink from the shop incase their towels were taken off. This is something that needs to be managed better as spending my holiday in fear of my sunbed towel been taken off isn’t very good. (We had spoken to a few people who felt the same) a solution need to be found one better than ripping off peoples towels. Overall- Hotel was nice, but it was definitely not anywhere near a 5 star but more closer to a 3. The sunbed situation really put a downer on the whole holiday as even though I’m not one to put my towel down and leave it unattended all day, I do like popping out for a walk occasionally or to get a drink/snacks for a short period of time and because of the sunbed situation I felt I couldn’t or if I did I rushed it. Due to this, I will not be returning to this hotel.

2nd time to stay at this hotel and we cannot speak highly enough of it. From check in to check out every member of staff was a pleasure to meet, mannerly, very pleasant, accomodating and always smiling, nothing was ever too much trouble. This is a smaller hotel, great location within a short walk from beaches and shopping centres. The food was amazing, great variety and top quality. We particularly enjoyed being able to order from a small table d’hote menu in the evening as a change from the buffet and having our meal served to the table. Evening entertainment was very pleasant and enjoyable. This is a child free hotel which suited us well as we enjoyed a very quiet relaxing stay. The hotel is not situated on a flat promenade but a slight climb up from the promenade however shops and restaurants along the way and having slight mobility issues it was very manageable. We can thoroughly recommend Adrian Hotel Colon Guanhuani but one small negative I found the hairdryers very frustrating and as they were connected in I found the flexible lead too short and no nuzzle to direct the flow of heat. Having said that we have rebooked for next year and I will remember to pack my own dryer. Another point on the positive side the prices are extremely reasonable. Looking forward to seeing you guys next year and do it all again!
