Palm Beach - Excel Hotels & Resorts

Do not save on hotel on Tenerife! This hotel has great location , beach right behind the back door c lots of restaurants, shops, marine is walking distance. But we faced lots of issues : the AC didn’t work in one of the rooms , phone didn’t work, be ready for bed bugs ( they didn’t bite us , but see the pictures attached ), the windows are not sound proof and there are a lot of getto people in this hotel, so prepare for long night party . The fire detector was red, doubt that they changed batteries since the hotel was build. The huge plus is the breakfast, honestly better than some Marriott or Hilton we been to . Lots of variety of food. Breakfast 8-10( pretty late , but worked with our schedule) .

Very old. Not clean in the room! Good swimming pool

We arrived in palm beach on Sunday 17th August, we are flying home today 😭 The apartments are dated and basic but very clean. We couldn't figure out how to pull out our sofa bed but when I asked at reception I had a staff member come with me to fix it straight away. We had a large living area with a double pull out sofa bed and 2 single beds. In the week we had our apartment fully cleaned once but if we needed anything like towels or toilet paper the household staff gave without any hesitations. There is a laundry service on level six with a washer dryer and iron. The use of the washing machine costs €5. We didn't buy breakfast with our package, so when we checked in we were offered a heavily discounted rate which we declined but ended up having breakfast 4 days and for the 3 of us it cost €100, it was a buffet with loads of choice. Our room was overlooking a building site where they are refurbishing, not sure what exactly they are doing, bit noisy at times but overall wasn't too bad. The room we were in if your looked to the left of the balcony it had a lovely view of the pool and to the right was the beach. There is a little shopping complex to the front of the hotel with a supermarket pharmacy and souvenir shops so that was very handy. During the day the animation team provided entertainment for everyone including aqua dance classes and trivia games etc. This was really good but I do feel one hour of quiet time at the pool would have been nice everyday, there is no night time entertainment. The hotel is so close to the beach and very close to lots of restaurants and bars. I definitely would stay in Palm Beach again

Hi we just spent 2 weeks here had an amazing time we loved Aaron from the animation team !!!!!! He was great with my children please ignore bad reviews we didn’t want to come home!!!! The only thing I will say is as a family of 6 not having our bath mat replaced daily etc and cleanliness of floor was really hard when you have little ones if rooms could be cleaned daily or every other day this would be a bonus! but apart from that I cannot fault all the staff and the service we received we are hoping to return for a month next year !!!
