The food was amazing!

Staff were excellent, facilities were great , location of hotel though making it difficult to walk the area due to steep roads.

The hotel is set in the side of a hill, srunning views and it has a small waterfall down the middle. There are alot of steps but there are lifts. I stayed in room 110, cracking view, large room but lacking in atmosphere, no pictures etc on wall. The rooms are spotless. Cleaned everyday and a small fridge which has basic drinks in. Bathrooms are spotless although no bath if that's important to you. Location. A good 20/25 min walk to the beach. There is a local shopping centre then another a little further away. Plase del duque has some nice shops. There is a bot of a hill so be prepared (ie wear your trainers not flip flops!!) Entertainment. Pretty much none. Around the pool you'll get 45 mins. There is no other music and it's very boring at times. I certainly don't want loud party music but it does lack atmosphere. At night the entertainment is VERY basic. You may get 1 singer then a different singer for 45 mins each. Due to the way the hotel is built there isn't a large enough area to have entertainment space. The lobby bar (main area) will seat about 80/100 people at a push but it's NPT 5* quality. Food. Now here's where it makes or breaks it for us. I'll eat anything and there was so so so much choice. You can have 4 different meat and 3 fish every meal. Steak 10 times a week etc so it's great. The wife is vegetarian and you'll get veggie sausages in the morning which is a nice change for Spanish hotels. The rest is very limited. You may get deep fried cauliflower or broccoli, cheese pizza and a veggie lasagne but that's it. If you ask the chef may do something but you'll wait. A LONG TIME! The main issue is the lack of signage. You'll have no idea what your eating alot of the time. There will be 6 dishes and 6 signs and at times you may have to guess. Is it veal or pork??? Who knows. The desert station is even worse, if your vegetarian or have allergies you'll struggle, there could be 10 options and 2 signs, you'll just guess ! That can be fun but it doesn't get annoying. ***PHOTO - have a guess if that's vegetarian or not ??? **** Drinks. €12 for a cocktail but we were all inclusive. There aren't that many to pick from compared to other 5*s but if you ask the staff will make what you like. Pool area. The dreaded towels on beds. Thankfully I was up early so a quick walk down at 8am and your fine. Staff aren't bothered sadly. Just about enough beds. Level. Dodnr pay for this. Really not sure why you'd pay for this. The level pool area is alright but not as nice as the pool on the ground floor. Checking in/out. All fine. Not very interesting to be honest. This hotel is not a 5* No jacuzzi, whirlpools, steam room, sauna. Lack of entertainment. Food and dining isn't 5* although very close. Entertainment is miles and miles off 5* Lack of drinks options at bar and pool bar especially. Lack of staff is also a major issue at meal times. Really Really lacking. Takes too long to take plates away and get drinks when you

Just returned from 9 nights here. We have stayed at 4 Melia hotels so we were expecting it to be really good. What we loved: The stunning views Our spacious and spotlessly clean room with lovely ocean view The staff- all so friendly, helpful and hard working The unusual layout of the hotel built into the cliff The variety and quality of food The relaxed feel of evenings in the bar with live music- again beautiful evening views. What could have been better: The plates were not always thoroughly clean (I did mention this). Perhaps the dishwasher wasn’t working properly at one point. The plates were all clean on our last couple of days. The ‘time -share’ like presentation. Yes, we were given €100 off our bar bill for attending but I felt disappointed that Melia were pushing this. Overall though, a lovely relaxing holiday. The hotel had a nice friendly atmosphere. I’d happily return.

Just back from a 10 day stay at this hotel and had the most fantastic time here. We booked a Level suite B and B, we didn’t use any of the restaurants for dinner as we like to go for a wander at night. I would like to give a special mention to the lovely ladies in the breakfast room. They were all so lovely, cheery and welcoming and remembered our tea/coffee/juice order every day. Our room on the 8th floor was gorgeous, kept really clean by housekeeping and I really enjoyed the Rituals bathing products. A nice surprise was the turn down service, it was lovely coming back to our room at night and our room and bathroom straightened up. We were also kept supplied with tea and coffee each day. The pool was lovely and although there were always sun beds available we did note the increasing amount of bed bagging. The beds at the Level pool were supplied with fresh towels everyday. We particularly enjoyed the Level lounge for snacks and tapas and maybe a glass of wine or beer! There were premium drinks between 4 and 6 with the tapas. The entertainment was good too. All in all we had a lovely stay and can’t wait to go back.

Amazing hotel, in beautiful settings and great views. Food gorgeous , bar selection fabulous , evening entertainment classy with private tables each with beautiful dim table lamps looking out to an amazing view and lovely music. Pool fab. Pool bar great and friendly happy bar staff. Hotel reception so lovely and welcoming. Food hall great helpful staff always, if I needed anything extra they would get it for me so friendly and smiley. Always able to assist. Main bar great and staff happy and helpful. Cleaners lovely, kind and respectful ,Gym great and fitness classes with Melissa fab like Pilates, yoga, and workshops available like cocktail making. Room spotless and fresh and spacious. Bed so big and comfy, lovely shower. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Will definitely be coming back soon
