JOIA Salomé by Iberostar -Adults Only

Visited for the 1st time , it is a beautiful hotel. Had a room on top floor, the views are stunning, and the room spotless. Champagne on arrival and chocolates. The butler team were fab, couldn't do enough for us, checked in daily to make sure all was ok. Sunbeds were plentiful, but had the usual crowd who placed towels on beds at 7.30am - sometimes reserved until mid afternoon with no one on them. All of the staff are amazing, but to name a few , Daniel, Rachel and Ruth. Sorry, cant remember the name of the young lady who served us in the buffet and Poseidon restaurant but she was great and so funny!. The buffet was good, the al la carte restaurants were ok, our particular favorite was Poseidon, having said that the steak in the Italian was very good, apart from serving it with very heavy gnocchi which we left. I think either the buffet or one of the restaurants should serve more local foods eg tapas . The entertain was average - seems to have 2 competing acts at the same time in different parts of the hotel - think it would be good to have them at different times in the evening, again more local entertainment , the duo acts were good but after 2nd evening , felt a bit samey. All in all we had a fabulous time, and would certainly consider another visit to this wonderful hotel.

An excellent hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and tidied every day by pleasant and helpful staff. The sea view balcony in particular was a pleasure. Enough surrounding banana trees to offer privacy without totally blocking a view of the pool and sea. The meals were all very good. Breakfast was in a room separate to the main breakfast area. Cooked breakfast was to order but you were free to pick up anything from the buffet next door if you preferred. Service and choice were first class. Dinner in all the restaurants (including the buffet) was of a high standard. All the staff (except one) were very helpful and efficient. The exception was a waiter in the Seal Soul restaurant who specialised in finding a reason why you couldn't do something. A good example was my wife asking for a boule of ice cream instead of the desserts offered. He just said no. He was programmed to do so in sharp contrast to all the others we met. The head waiter observed this and stepped in to organise it without demur. The waiter concerned also wanted to make it difficult to get a table even though there was no shortage. May be he was having a bad week. Incidentally the hotel app ought to include booking for this restaurant. It does for the others except the buffet where it is not required. Anything we wanted/needed could be organised. Our "butler" for the time there was Francisco and hats off to him. It would be hard to see how he could have done more and more quickly. He made a good experience very good.

The whole experience was out of this world. The staff were incredibly attentive, kind and couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel was absolutely beautiful, rooms were stunning and food was delicious and very well thought out. We can’t find a single fault with anything and would be delighted to come back!
