Honest review (we tend to ignore bad reviews, based on thinking people are a bit negative sometimes. We dont ever whinge about a holiday as to us if the kids are happy, so are we! But unfortunately this has put us in this position!) We arrived yesterday, we were trying to remain positive about the room which is extremely dated, we were given an option of 2 suites or a 2 bed apartment, as the apartment was close to splash pool and had no steps inside, we took it. We have come here with 4 young children ranging from 0-9 years. Spacious? yes, clean? Yes. We decided to stay around the splash pool as the floor around both pools but especially the big pool is absolutely tretorous (i was told a woman yesterday fell holding her little boy and split her head open on the steps next to the bar) and my 2 year old little girl fell about 4 times in the space of 5 minutes, and the pool water was murkey. No water available at splash pool bar, its unmanned. The soft drinks machine has broken numerous times today alone. So I popped over to the big pool with my little girl. Waited 5 minutes to even get served (a man behind me told me this was the norm, ans that all staff are extremely rude but I tried to pray it wasnt true) I asked for my 2 mojitos (which by the way were advertised on a board at the bar - but we since have an email from easyjet to state that cocktails arent available on AI) and also asked if they did non alcoholic cocktails to which is rolled his eyes at me and bluntly said "orange juice". 15 minutes later and I eventually got my drinks, they were NOT mojitos! It looked more like the murkey pool water I just spoke about. So I tasted, and left them at the bar. As we walked away, the bar man got mad, threw his hands up in the air stating "everything broken". That explained his bad bad mood and attitude towards his now long queue of customers. 11am comes and my kids wanted a snack. They arent big breakfast eaters. So my husband took them over to the snack bar by the big pool to be told there's nothing left and to back in 1 hour when the restaurant opens. We soon discovered that the horrendous reviews stating that they dont replenish the snacks once they've gone, was infact true. I mean... advertise that its open whenever the restaurant is shut, that's pretty much what has to happen? Staff were extremely rude once again, very blunt, no apology. Once we discovered about the water from the orange juice machine tasted like it had mould in it, I decided to pop down to the shop next to the football pitch! BAD IDEA. I go in, get a bottle of water out of the fridge and then popped it on the desk so that I could go back outside the shop to see the selection of crisps. My little girl came out with me but accidently stubbed her toe on the bracelet stand (which didnt move at all by the way!) So I asked if she was okay and the man behind the till started speaking to her in Spanish but it wasn't a nice manner, so I popped my head into the shop and explaine

We’ve just come back from 10 nights at this absolute hell hole. Firstly entered our room after having no real check in, or information of what’s what, and we were mortified. I wanted to cry. Outdated, hot, smelly, dark, and uncomfortable. We as a couple with no children, were place in an annex, far from the main hotel and restaurant, overfacing a noisy kids pool. The shower does not work properly, and trickles at best, either scalding hot or freezing cold. The beds were two single beds, so we could not lay together, and they were very uncomfortable. The cleaning service was shocking, no fresh towels, bins not emptied, and they would often knock and wait rudely until we exited our room. The food. Absolutely sickening. After trying the restaurant a few times, we figured we couldn’t do it any more and ate out every night. We spent over €70 at the pharmacy because we had bad stomachs. The food was not well kept, and some of it clearly re-used from the day before. People would use their hands to ‘play’ with the food whilst they chose what they ate. Not a great variety at all. The food was also cold at every meal, no option of a microwave. Truly shocking. They have a snack bar during the day by the pool… it’s not a bar, it’s a plastic sweat box filled with dirty leftovers from the buffet. Birds help themselves, and the kids play food fights with the food. It’s so dirty, food everywhere, bins overflowing, and not well kept around the pool. Entertainment? What entertainment. We specifically chose this hotel for its deceleration of daily entertainment. There is a 20 min kids disco every night by the pool, the same songs every night, in the exact same order and that’s it. Not much happening in the day, other than the same sound track coming from the pool bar on repeat, and some random unorganised games / water aerobics that are not scheduled, just randomly there every other day. Facilities. Again, we booked this holiday because of the amenities. The bar by the kids pool, constantly closed. Only a self serve drinks machine / beer pump. The sports bar, Closed. The show room, Closed. The shop, Closed. The spa, Closed. The coffee bar by reception, Closed. THE ONLY place to actually enjoy what holiday was left of this hotel, was the pool bar, where over worked, tired and clearly unhappy waiters would serve. All in all this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I would recommend to anyone. Truly disappointed and was genuinely so upset. We spent a whole year saving up, working tirelessly for a well deserved break, and this was just so upsetting. Do not ignore the bad reviews like we did.

Firstly, this hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel. Its a 3 star. I booked this hotel for one week with my 3 teenage daughters. Our stay was ok but I wouldn't go back to this hotel. The rooms were ok, could do with an upgrade but served a purpose. The cleaners didn't really clean, we got clean towels, sheets and toilets rolls and a quick mop but that was about it. The bathroom sinks, bath or mirror were never cleaned all week. The hotel seemed to be very short staffed. Around the pool in the day time there were no staff clearing up and not enough bins, there was plastic cups, paper plates and litter all over the floors, don't get me wrong this was gone before the next day but during a day at the pool you would notice the floors getting trashed. The cocktails were disgusting, they were from a machine and just tasted like sugar! The food was ok but very repetitive. We had breakfast and sometimes lunch but we ate out of the hotel every night. Also, the bar closes at 11pm and the lights on the balcony's goes out at midnight which was annoying because we liked to stay up and play cards. The entertainment of an evening isn't the best, ok for the little ones but not the best.

Don’t be put off by the negative reviews! A flurry of poor ratings just before our trip had us worried, but thankfully, they didn’t reflect our experience. We travelled as a group of 6 adults and 3 kids (ages 16, 4, and 2) and arrived on July 2nd. First impressions were great — the reception area was clean and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly. Although we arrived early (11am) and our rooms weren’t ready, we were able to store our luggage and enjoy lunch straight away. Restaurant & Food: The buffet setup worked well — no waiting for tables, even at busy times. Yes, the occasional small bird flew through the open doors, but nothing bothersome. Salads were fresh and constantly replenished. Mains always included a variety of meat, pasta, and rice. Kids’ section was repetitive (think nuggets and fish fingers), but it did the job. Desserts were hit hard by guests piling up plates, but the hotel staff tried hard to keep things stocked. Drinks were always available and varied. Pools & Sunbeds: Clean pools, plenty of sunbeds — no 5am towel runs needed! Children’s pools weren’t lifeguarded despite signs saying otherwise, but the main pool did have a lifeguard at times. Entertainment: We mostly explored outside the hotel or stayed by the kids' pool, so can’t comment on daytime activities. Evening entertainment was basic but kept the children happy. If evening shows are a priority for you, this might not be the ideal hotel. Areas for Improvement: Snacks were disappointing. By 4pm, food often looked stale and wasn’t refreshed. The ice cream freezer was usually empty. Beds were too firm for us, but housekeeping kindly brought extra duvets which helped. Others in our group had no issues. Rooms were clean and serviced regularly. A bit dated, yes, and one room had a couple of cockroach sightings over 10 days — not ideal, but not a dealbreaker. Overall: We had a pleasant stay and felt the Jet2 star rating was fair. It's a good family-friendly base with decent food and great pool facilities — just don't expect luxury or non-stop entertainment.

The hotel images of the bedrooms advertised by Jet2 are not what it looks like in reality. Rooms are substandard (dirty, furniture is beyond wear and tear, needs replacing) and not suitable for children to sleep in. The upgraded room we paid €140 for the week for was also dated albeit tolerable for the stay. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Staff were friendly. Location is 10-15mins from main shops/bars which is a plus point. The hotel needs closed and refurbished to meet current standards. Very disappointed.
