The scenery is invincible, the restaurant is delicious, and it is convenient to take a taxi to the capital. The only small flaw: the heating is noisy

Cugo Gran Macina in Malta is steeped in history. The Senglea suite was home away from home for our stay, comfortable for the four of us. The decor was minimal stylish and spacious. However the floor tiles near the bathroom needs repair and bathroom interior needs better finishing. From the reception to the restaurant and housekeeping, staff were polite and accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic and our thanks to the staff who worked tirelessly to fulfill requests. Reception staff arranged an all day private boat trip (Malta Charters) to the south bay and lunch from The little bastion restaurant (fabulous treat), a must for anyone planning to swim/snorkel in these blue waters. Overall it was a wonderful Malta trip we take home great memories. Thank You.

We stopped by for breakfast, and we're so glad we did! I opted for the full English breakfast while my husband enjoyed the eggs benedict, accompanied by cappuccinos and freshly squeezed orange juice. Every bite was exceptional, and the coffee and orange juice were outstanding. We also shared the banana and strawberry pancakes, which were absolutely heavenly! Each pancake was perfectly layered with a chocolate spread, and every mouthful was pure bliss. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. A big thank you to Ankit, Jamie and Ben! and, of course, the Chef :)

The location is peaceful and beautiful. Plenty of places to eat nearby including right on the harbor. Most of the staff were kind and helpful. The food at the restaurant was REALLY good - order the cauliflower appetizer. We also appreciated the design of the old with the modern/contemporary. However, we also had issues with ants in the room, the condition of the furniture, and sand is falling from the ceiling onto the bathroom floor. We ended up killing ants, bringing in the chairs from outdoors to sit on, and wearing shoes in the bathroom. The hotel needs some love.

Fantastic hotel- perfect location! The rooms are just right with comfy beds :) The food is exquisite, compliments to the Chef! The staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful. A big shout out to Jamie, who patiently served us drinks with a smile over and over again at the beautiful rooftop pool in the Maltese heat. Thankyou for the lovely stay!

On my last stay in Malta we walked past this hotel every day and I was determined to stay here one day. Due to some personal circumstances we decided a treat was required so we booked to stay at this incredible hotel and I don't regret spending a single penny on this incredible hotel. From the moment we checked in we knew it would be a great stay. Literally cannot fault a thing about this hotel. We were at the blue lagoon and were contacted about a maintenance issue in the room. The staff made the room move a breeze and the upgrade was incredibly special. Every staff member encountered was a credit to the hotel. With particular mention to Valentina, Qwin and Martha. Stay here. You won't regret it (and get daiquiris at happy hour!)
