Lovely place to stay in a beautiful area.
Lovely clean bright bedrooms. Ideal if you have kids as rooms are ajoining with a fridge and microwave. Manageress in particular was very friendly.

Not very good.
We were put in a bedroom built into the attic, with very low, sharp edged, sawn timber beams and a toilet with a ceiling so low, I was unable to stand up to urinate, (I am a man)!
The beams need some padding on the sharp edges, so that when you get up in the middle of the night, you won't hurt yourself if you bump into them.
The room was overlooking the main A5 trunk road and therefore very noisy all day and night.
Breakfast was OK, although the booking said continental breakfast and English breakfast but only a Continental was available.

Enjoyable short break
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was spotless and well equipped. Very friendly and helpful staff at breakfast time. The location was perfect for what we wanted being very convenient for Llangollen, Pont Cysyllte aqueduct, Bala and Oswestry.

The Crown Hotel.
The Crown Hotel has a certain charm. It is not the Ritz but the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and perfectly adequate for our requirements.

This was our second time staying at the Crown Hotel. We very much enjoy staying here. It’s super easy to access other parts of Northern Wales from her, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff very accommodating. The room was great too.

Fantastic place to stay
The outside of the building is completely different to inside! Inside the hotel is fantastic. The rooms are clean, spacious and very comfortable. Host can not do enough for you. Breakfast was fresh and lots of choice. Good to have car parking on site. But if full there is a free car park further along the road.
