Monistero di Cortona is a magical unique resort. Our matrimonial room was located down a long wing with two doors located at the very end of the wing. Like walking to a palace suite. Very kool vibe. The suite had great views of the valley below. The concierges were amazingly helpful assisting-us in planning two day wine tours with a driver, 5 hour e bike tour around Cortona, and delicious restaurant recommendations. The personnel were super friendly yet professional. The restaurant staff were also fabulous. We looked forward to breakfast daily as the food and staff were excellent. We also enjoyed two dinners at the resort, excellent food and ambience. A wonderful experience and perfectly located at the top of cortona. I chose not to rent a car as the streets are narrow, hard to maneuver and parking is limited. Best to hire a driver and enjoy the sites free of anxiety.

Resort indubbiamente affascinante in posizione dominante sulla cittadina. Personale gentilissimo e professionale sino dal ricevimento del cliente, abituato a parlare in inglese per la presenza predominante di turisti americani. Le stanze - tutte diverse - molto confortevoli ed elegantemente arredate. Prima colazione eccellente anche se purtroppo, visto il clima, consumata all’interno e non nel patio. La spa non è enorme (quindi contingentata come ingressi dietro prenotazione) ma molto curata. Praticamente obbligatorio prenotare il garage a pagamento se si arriva in auto, perché è impossibile parcheggiare nelle stradine strettissime e ripide di Cortona. Un’unica chiosa: in un albergo di questo livello, far pagare l’ingresso alla spa costituisce una (piccola) caduta di stile. Sarebbe più “elegante” inserire il relativo prezzo nel costo della camera. Nel complesso, comunque, albergo di alto livello e un soggiorno piacevolissimo.

Un ambiente davvero di classe con un personale fantastico e amorevole. Il livello è davvero altissimo … fantastico. La SPA è fantastica e la piscina con idromassaggio è molto bella in un ambiente digestivo. Il ristorante offre piatti ben curati dello chef che prepara piatti che fanno fare un viaggio sensoriale inenarrabile. I locali sono un paradiso … ampi curati nei dettagli da sogno… mi rimarrà fra tutto quel immenso camino a livello di pavimento… mi sembra di vederlo il locale si tempi del monastero. La vista poi è mozzafiato alla finestra

We enjoyed our stay, and our room (206) had a balcony with a lovely view, overlooking Cortona. We also included the breakfast package and it had a huge assortment of tastey options. The hotel is in a great location and it was just a short walk into town. It also has a beautiful spa area. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and helped us to arrange private transfers to other towns and to the train station.

What an amazing property! We had a wonderful room just off the pool area. The property is spotless and the service was absolutely top notch! The property is well situated, but driving here is a little challenging for Americans used to wide roads! It was definitely worth the journey!

We have just spent 4 nights in this beautiful property. Our room (junior suite) was comfortable, quiet and very nicely appointed. Breakfast, dinner (we ate two nights) and the bar are all of an excellent standard. We cannot say enough good things about the staff, who turn a very nice place into a really memorable experience. Even before we arrived, the attention and support was great. During our stay, even better. Irene, Chiara, Alice and colleagues at reception; Taziana, Ilario, Claudio, Ana, Marino and their colleagues in the restaurant and bar; Massimo and his colleagues in the garage - all just so kind and helpful. Not sure if or when we'll ever be back in Cortona (a place we liked very much too), but if we do, we'll stay here again in a heartbeat.

The kind and attentive service from all the staff was really memorable. The quality and comfort provided by the hotel was exceptional and we will be returning next year. The hotel's location make it perfect for views across the valley and the walk into the centre is no more than 5 mins, but steep!!

Friendly helpful staff who did everything to make our experience delightul. Our room was perfect and imacculate. Everything is so beautiful and tasteful, a haven of tranquility. And a short walk to all the shops and restaurants of lovely Cortona.

Our stay at Monastero de Cortona was perfect. The hotel, the room, the view and the level of comfort were beyond our expectations. The restaurant serving seasonal fresh food was exceptional. The staff went above and beyond We hope to return .
