Crown City Inn Coronado

Overall I had a nice stay here. The staff were friendly and the location perfect but some aspects could easily be improved, and for the cost, I would have expected slightly better. I was initially allocated room 218 which is above the adjoining restaurant. You can hear constant noise from the generator and with the a/c as well the noise was unbearable. I spent one night in there and fortunately I was allocated a new room. If I hadn't been, I would have moved to different accommodation. Luckily I had both ear plugs and an eye mask with me otherwise I'm not sure I would have slept at all. I spoke to the guy at reception who was super helpful and immediately offered to move my room and gave me a voucher for a complimentary breakfast at the restaurant, but I was really surprised that anyone is allocated the room honestly. Once I moved rooms everything was much better but the a/c and refrigerator were still quite noisy. The appliances, including the microwave are all very old, although it was handy to have them. There was no crockery or cutlery although there was some plastic cutlery in reception and the lady on reception gave me some disposable bowls.  The big lamps in the rooms were very stylish but the mattress probably needed replacing. A very big dip on one side. The free bikes were a nice perk but they are in terrible condition. I went out on one where the handlebars dropped when any pressure was on them, and the brakes were almost useless. They are clearly not serviced and are very rusty. A number has completely bald tyres. There are bikes everywhere on the island and these were the worst I saw. Wouldn't recommend! Not sure I would stay here again but I did have a nice time in the end. It's a good location and walkable everywhere on the island.

Crown City Inn was a great place to stay during our visit to Coronado. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were able to borrow chairs and body boards to play in the ocean, and later we borrowed a couple bikes to ride around town on. And breakfast at the Bistro was very good!

It was very quiet, clean and comfortable. However, im still waiting on the receipt to be emailed as promised at check out.

The air conditioning system was broken and we were told we would have a full size queen bed but it was only a mini
