Radisson Hotel Corning

Other than the name confusion (I booked double tree by Hilton but when I arrived it s still the old name) and  room type that I booked was not given to me due to whatever reason  (and trip.com already compensated me with a portion of the room charge), the stay was great

I know that the the Radisson is not in the top tier of hotels, but it appears to be the only choice in Corning, NY. We reserved the Predential Suite (one of their most expensive rooms) First thing we discovered was that the sliding glass doors to the closet were jammed. Three visits from a very friendly maintenance man fixed the problem, only for a couple hours and then it jammed again. The safe didn't work. Worst of all, the door to the toilet room was missing. The hardware for hanging the door was there, and a brace to keep it in place was visible on the tile floor. When we reported it, we were told that there had "never been a door," based on the word of an employee who had worked there for six years. Nobody builds a privacy room for the toilet and decides to put up the mounting hardware and then decides not to put a door in! I feel that the manager was outright lying, and was probably in the habit of lying to people on a regular basis. Surely we couldn't have been the first person to complain about it. On the pro side, breakfast was quite good, and the servers were hard-working and friendly. That is the best I can say.
