Both times there was construction going on across the road so it looked a bit dusty. The hotel does not have a laundry room.

Clean. Hot breakfast including eggs, potatoes, waffles, fruit and yogurt. Refreshing, clean saltwater pool, well lit parking, friendly staff. Our king bed was adequate.

It wouldn't let me reply. I did tell the front desk clerk who spoke with a manager as well as the GM that I had death in the family. I also told the customer service representative when they called and tried to help as well. They said they relayed that information, but again no one cared. Based on your previous response, are you saying I'm not going to be charged, I'm not going to be responsible for paying for the room?

This is a follow up from my previous review and the hotels response. For some reason, it would not let me reply or write a new review. However, when I called I clearly spoke with the front desk clerk as well as the GM and stated I was in the wrong location and I had death in the family. I even called the customer service department and had them call on my behalf and she relayed the same information. Per your comment, are you stating you are not trying to charge me or make me pay for the stay I did not complete?

I made a reservation on the hilton app at this location. When I made the reservation, it didn't display the full name, it only showed Hampton Inn Charlotte North Lake. I needed to be in the Northlake area because I had death in the family. It wasn't until I got my confirmation email, that I saw North Lake Norman. I called when I saw my confirmation and asked if they could cancel the reservation. They said they could but would still charge me. They have horrible customer service. It wasn't like I waited a whole day or even an hour before calling. I called as soon as I saw my email. They are charging me, and I would never recommend this location as they do not value their customer, especially in the circumstance of having death in the family. The manager and the GM were both rude.

Weekend getaway
I’m shocked at the difference in what Hampton Inn rooms used to look like versus what they look like today for $160. I found it to be a complete disappointment- it’s more like a dormitory room instead of a luxury hotel room. The walls are thin you can hear everything. The bed was so small. It didn’t even feel like a king and the pillows were not comfortable….overall management and service was great!
