Such lovely staff -Restaurant is amazing!!! We sadly only got to stay at this quaint, picturesque hotel for one night. Every single staff member was amazing, friendly and went above and beyond for us. A tad dated -Yes. But that’s what gives it, it’s charm. Beds are huge and extremely comfortable, bathrooms are updated and have heated floors. Dinner- Amazing. We dined on the scallops, rack of lamb and black sole, all Devine!! Breakfast -Delicious. We enjoyed the best breakfast I can recall -the poached plums were amazing!! Service-EXCEPTIONAL! We will be back

A lovely, delightful hotel with a great restaurant and nice staff. Well Maintained gardens and a limited but still there a view of the sea. Breakfast was great. Drinks a bit expensive in the afternoon. Dinner was fantastic. The only thing I’d complain about was: the window in the bedroom did not open at all while the window ninths bathroom did not close :-) Firesafety ? And a few little details which would suggest a lack of staff or just an overlook. Otherwise good.

I have been visiting since 2009 and any excuse to stay in Seaview -one my favourite locations, I look forward to…. A tad dated -Yes. Comfortable-Absolutely. Food -Delicious. We enjoyed the best breakfast I can recall -even included liver and bacon, yum! Service-EXCEPTIONAL and totally delightful! In summary, we left feeling very pleased we chose Seaview and hope to return soon.

We enjoyed a return three-night visit to Seaview House, well located just outside Ballylickey, on the 'Wild Atlantic Way' and about 6 km from 'downtown' Bantry. The atmosphere is 'country house' cosy, the décor is elegant, most of the furniture is antique - or looks so - and there is a ‘bath house’ with spa services. However, the 'sea view' is quite limited, at least in summer. There is no elevator and the top floor rooms are accessed by 30 + steps. Our ‘classic single’ room was spacious, with traditional brown furniture, and the bathroom was well sized (shower over bath). Both were well-equipped. All the staff we met were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, one of the best we have experienced, with attentive service – the well-stocked buffet is supplemented by hot food cooked to order from an extensive menu. Dinner is also very high quality. There is plentiful free parking for guests. There is no EV charger (there are some in Bantry) but the hotel offers a connection to a standard wall power outlet – helpful but very slow. Overall, an excellent base for visiting Bantry, Glengarriff and the Beara Peninsula (but install EV chargers!). Recommended.

Friendly hotel. Excellent restaurant and bar. Pets allowed. We were given a plug for our electric car overnight. Comfortable room. Good menu with local food especially seafood. Reasonable wine list. Good location. Friendly staff and good communications

A well appointed hotel in very pleasant grounds. A slightly older feel to it but lacking nothing in facilities and service. All staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Dinner and breakfast were both splendid. We stayed for two days and it was a useful base for touring the local area and beyond.

Remarkably located at the bottom of a bay, the hotel offers beautiful views towards the sea. It is set back from the road, in the middle of a superb flower garden. At the beginning of May, it’s the time of rhodos and azaleas, a marvel. Large old white house flanked by two more recent wings, the facade has a lot of appeal. Inside, everything is “so Irish”, some will find it a bit kitsch, but there is a real cozy atmosphere. The rooms in the old part are a little outdated, ask for a room in the new wing. Ours - 209 - was on the second floor - with a superb view of the garden and the bottom of the bay. The carpets are thick, the bathrooms are small but new, the bedding is a little dampened and could do with an investment. Pretty dining room recently redone, we dine on pretty old wooden tables by candlelight. Short but excellent menu with quality products and good value for money. The breakfast is also perfect with homemade products. The boss is very welcoming and his staff attentive and smiling. In short, we really liked this Seaview Hotel. Two nights, 4 dinners, 4 breakfasts for less than 700 euros, it’s very good value for money. If we can offer some advice, the landlady should take a complete tour of the house and remove some old items which add nothing and whose disappearance would not detract from the charm of the hotel.

Very dog friendly - we were given a large bedroom with direct access to the garden. Rather dated decor but spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Supper was less good - overcooked fish. Friendly and efficient service.

Dated, shabby and trip back to the 70s. Tatty furniture, hard beds, dated wall paper and carpets, broken locks on room windows and a heavy key fob to rooms - no electronic cards . The smell of damp in the room adjoining the restaurant wasn't pleasant. Also no bar till 5pm totally ridiculous after a long drive. Jacuzzi out of action even though the hotel was full, the answer need to keep it lit aka it's a wood burning so they didn't have it lit! Reception area dated and receptionist rude and not very welcoming. Dinner food just about edible and breakfast was completely burnt. Try the Eccles Hotel down the road about 15 minutes drive, superior value and incredible for old world charm hotel with new furnishings.
