Glengarriff Park Hotel

Lovely spacious room incredible powerful shower. The room also had a TV and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. The lady at reception was very nice and I was able to store my push bike on site. A continental breakfast next morning topped off a wonderful experience.

Unfriendly staff, rooms smell damp, mould in one room, no food facilities even tho meals had been prepaid for without any mention of the restaurant/bar being closed. No offer of a refund was gave. Very outdated rooms, stains on bed sheets, window latch was broken and window couldn’t close properly. Rooms were absolutely freezing at night time. Could hear everything from the room next door due to poor sound proofing. Would not recommend

Was very disappointed with this so called hotel. There is no bar or restaurant! They offered a (complimentary) breakfast which was awful. Although we had already paid through the nose for 2 nights stay. I think previously it had been used by the Ukrainians, and I'm sure they were better fed than we were. Won't be back.

Our time at the Glengariff Park Hotel was a wonderful experience!!! Hotel was super nice and clean and the restaurant was DELICIOUS. The staff was so incredibly friendly, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here!!!

This is a perfect example of how things have changed since COVID, myself and my wife stayed here pre pandemic at the time it was a Nice hotel, friendly staff, and great food, while it's still a nice hotel the food left a lot to be desired, breakfast wasn't great and dinner was a disaster, chefs who can't cook a stake medium rare, had to send it back twice it even came out overdone a third time but rather than send it back again I ate it explaining to the waitress that I wasn't prepared to wait again, I couldn't honestly recommend this hotel very disappointed.

....First, let me tell you, the women behind the front desk were very nice and helpful .....and they liked my wellies.... Our room was big and quiet, everything worked (no lights were out or switches not working). Dinner at the restaurant and our breakfasts were really good with plenty of healthy choices. I had a bowl of porridge that they made for me each morning with fruit... But everything shuts down early in the small town, like 8-ish, so be prepared for that. If you are going to arrive after that time, have some dinner before you get there or bring it with you... Dinner was a problem one night after a long "Ring of Kerry" drive. But the "Beara Peninsula" drive day was fantastic ! We were back to the hotel with plenty of time to relax and have a lovely dinner with wine and cocktails at Mac Carthy's Pub/Restaurant in the hotel.... I wish the weather would have been better so we could have taken the Ferry to Garnish Island, which I'm told is really nice. Ferry takes off across the street and also, there is one down the street so do check out both if one isn't running maybe the other is.... The Blue Pools are across the street and even in the drizzly to rainy weather in our raincoats with the hoods up, it was still pretty, even kinda romantic with good picture taking opportunities. There's an Irish Gift store next to hotel with nice smelling stuff... I bought some Inis shower gel and lotion... Oh, when I booked the room (months ago). I requested a bottle of wine to be there chilling and it was so nice ! That was a long driving day for us and to relax with a glass of wine as soon as we walked into the room after being in the car for a long time, was fantastic !! We recently stayed for two nights as part of a wedding party at the Glengarriff Park Hotel and had a wonderful stay and evening reception meal. The staff went out of their way to be welcoming and made a particular effort to make sure the occasion was special. All the staff were lovely and I didn’t get all their names but Sheila and Anne-Marie, John and Bridgid worked very hard that particular evening to keep everyone happy. Our room was spacious, clean and beds very comfortable. Glengarriff is a sweet little town and Garnish Island well worth a visit. I wish we had had more time to explore the surrounding areas….. we will return!

We hadn’t booked ahead so walked in & asked for a room & we were warmly welcomed. The room overlooked the Main Street but it wasn’t noisy. The bed was the Most comfortable I’ve been in for ages, best nights sleep in a hotel in a long time. Friendly staff, though maybe fresh fruit as opposed to mostly canned at breakfast would have been better but my husband enjoyed his scrambled eggs & smoked salmon ver much.
