Nice hotel with lots of stairs. Not suitable for wheelchair, elders or strollers. The staff was very kind and helpful. No complaints with any staff member.
The family cabins where big, confortable but didnt feel soo clean. The bathroom towels felt old and didnt smell fresh.
The property is beautiful, the pool was nice and clean. Overall if you dont have a problem with stairs, youll be fine. We just hope they clean the rooms a little better.

This is a very large property with many stairs up and down, a large pool with a cascade and what looks like unfinished buildings. On entering our room with detected a funny smell which persists throughout our stay. There were marks on the wall, shelves were attached in a crooked way, no closets, the wall in the bathroom near the sink had the painting peeling off. The mini-fridge was unplugged and when opened it smelled really bad, so I decided not to turn it on and not place the bottled water in it. The towels in the bathroom were grey, not white. The lightening in the room was poor also. I could become a nice place if they updated and fixed the rooms.

Great place
We had a wonderful stay at Mayan Hills. The staff were very helpful and the food was good. Beautiful setting. We enjoyed visiting the ruins and parrot sanctuary.

The hills on the property were beautifully landscaped, and the butterfly observation room was a wonderful surprise. We were perplexed to not see any local Mayans at the Mayan Hills.
