Clubb Coolum Beach Resort

We had a two bedroom apartment on the 11th floor with a stunning ocean view in a great location. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect set up….plus underground secure parking as a bonus. However….. a lot to complain about with the general maintenance and condition of the whole apartment, from being outdated and very tired, to the disgusting lack of cleanliness! Most things were sticky to touch, the kitchen was functional but very dirty, we had to wash all the dishes and cutlery before we used them, the range hood looked like it had never been cleaned! The curtains in the place were full of mould, as was the washing machine, dust everywhere, including under the bed, skirting boards, corners were, well, 🤮 is all I can say. Reception staff were lovely, and when I mentioned all this on our second day in, it was noted to pass on to management, but we suspect, given other reviews that nothing will be done, except to give their guests the usual “we’ll pass it on” which translates to sorry, but that’s the way it goes and we don’t want to spend the money. Given the price per night, we were expecting something a lot better, so our advice is, spend your money elsewhere if you want a nice clean place where they actually care about their reputation. Overall, a lovely location, great views and lovely staff on reception, but that’s about it for the good points. ☹️

The perfect location for our ladies weekend away. Four of us comfortably shared an ocean view two bedroom appartment. The location is ideal. Very short stroll to local shops, restaurants, cafes, Surf Club and of course the beach. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the whales passing this time of year. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. I am very happy to refer Clubb Coolum to my family and friends. Thank you.

The view is amazing! Our unit (25) was lovely, comfortable and spacious. The apartment has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Directly across a two lane road (one each way) from the beach. 200 m from the surf club. Lovely local restaurants within easy walking distance. The building includes a games room, tennis court, pool table, swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym. An Indian restaurant is a quick meal option on the ground floor. The building isn't new, but is well priced and very comfortable, an amazing get away from work/school/study.

A top location (possibly the best in Coolum), opposite the beach (patrolled every day) and a very short walk to shops, restaurants etc. A very warm and efficient welcome from the two ladies at reception - Anita and Sam from memory. We stayed in a lovely 2br unit, very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The views along the beach were simply outstanding!! On site, underground parking.

Great central spot. Close to everything Great amenities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the pool and gym The room had a great view of the ocean and was clean. The bed was nice and comfy. I will definitely be back next year for another holiday

This place is now awesome, new management, friendly and knowledgeable staff. My room was spotless, bed super comfy and the two bedroom apartments we had booked have a great ocean view. The apartments have also got a great range of facilities for guest use. Greatly improved from last visit and still reasonably priced.

Great location and large room. but thats where the good news ends. The room was in a poor state dirty, unsafe and poorly maintained - see pics below. When brought to the Manager's attention his response was "if you dont like it check out" This is why you are made to pay in advance in full when booking direct online DONT STAY HERE !!!!!!!

The two bed apartment no.28 (5th floor) has a lovely beach front view BUT it's tired and neglected .. needs a REFRESH and the 2 lifts haven't been cleaned for a long time .. if you have a small car the car park will be just ok .. not good for SUV's or similar .. the Management (male) is at best rude and arrogant, apparently his 15 years on site is now getting the best of him .. on the whole I would definitely NOT ever stay here again.

We stayed in September school hols & despite the unusually cool & windy weather, Clubb Coolum offers lots of alternative activities for young & old. Teenage kids were kept occupied in heated pool, made use of the gym every day, loved the games room equipped with table tennis, air hockey & snooker and used the tennis court. Once sun came out, loved the proximity to boardwalk & patrolled beach is 5 mins walk. So many cafes on offer close by (no need to take the car out) & Indian restaurant on-site was great! Our 2 bed apartment was so well equipped, great kitchen utensils, more than enough cutlery & crockery, beautifully presented & decorated and the view from the balcony was divine. Spent many an hour whale watching, just incredible! Bathrooms & bedrooms had been updated, really comfy beds & showers were great - absolutely no complaints! Denise was so accommodating and all the staff were friendly & helpful. We plan to be back!
