I stay at a lot of hotels, including HIG properties. This one was way below expectations. I'll say it's because of staffing shortages, but this hotel should be reminded that it's the details that disappoint guests. Lots of small things - no Kleenex in the bathroom (just the empty holder), the lids for the coffee cups in the room were too small so didn't fit, white stuff left on the carpet led me to believe, no one vacuumed the room, the inside of the windows were full of hand and face prints, it looked like blood was smeared on my light switch, there was no luggage rack and the most disappointing thing was that the WI-Fi was bad. I kept getting cut off and my I-Pad would only connect in the lobby or near the elevator. Bad Wi-Fi is unacceptable. Three of us traveled together, one made the reservation and we all paid individually - what a mess. Wrong receipts, I didn't get IHG credits and the desk people couldn't figure out how to fix anything. As I said, the hotel is fairly new but they have a lot of bugs to work out and paying attention to details.
