Ty Newydd Guest House

Great stay with Lillian and Alan, stopped for 4 nights. Made to feel very at home from the moment we arrived. Everything that you would want was available, fantastic cooked breakfast, spacious room, hair dryer, tv etc … Definitely recommend to friends and family. Great location with local walks close by, not far to travel for north coast or Snowdon.

Just got back from our visit in North Wales. Had to write a review on this excellent B&B. The landlady Lillian couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The room had everything you need and the breakfasts were superb! Just a short drive into Snowdonia and to the coastal resorts. The village is great too. A lovely waterfall just behind the guest house, 2 lovely pubs, serving good food, either Nepalese or more traditional, and bus stop right outside. Would definitely recommend if visiting North Wales and Snowdonia.

A very pleasant stay We were made very welcome, and so were our two dogs. Breakfasts were perfect (vegetarian) with lots on offer. The bed was comfortable and the landlady is very friendly and attentive.

Good value Good value B&B within easy reach of Snowdon but without the hoards of tourists. Interesting history to Trefriw and lots of walks. Good pubs for food in village. Clean and pleasant stay with friendly host. Definitely recommend. Just one observation, you wouldn't want to drink too much and lie on your back looking at the ceiling, the artex pattern makes the world spin. Lovely stay

Welcoming with a homely feel .lovely hostess. Room spacious. Very clean accommodation Shared small shower/ toilet was just about ok bit of a squeeze! Towels provided were small and a bit old/ thin, could have been better. Tea tray not changed daily Breakfast good but not alot of choice. Parking easy in the village but not on site. Overall enjoyed my stay and it was value for money.

We've just got back from a lovely long weekend in Wales staying at the Tŷ Newydd B&B. I highly recommend staying here. Lil, the owner was brilliant, very friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. She cooked us a top quality breakfast every morning, and there were also cereal, Yogurts and Fruit if you prefer. Breakfast is at the set time of 8:30am, which worked well for us. We stayed in a Double room with our own bathroom, it was a good size, clean and cozy, the bed was super comfortable and there was even tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The sink is in the main room rather than in the bathroom but that made no difference to us, it was a lovely room. The only thing I'll mention is the flushing of the toilet is quite loud so if you're with someone who's a light sleeper, they might wake up if you flush it in the night, but again this didn't bother us, my partner sleeps though everything. The B&B is in a fantastic location, directly opposite the local pub which serves a variety of reasonably priced drinks and also serves amazing food! There are also another couple of pubs and restaurants within walking distance too. The village doesn't have a shop for groceries so you would need to prepare in advance and pop to the next village for this. Overall a great stay and I will be recommending to everyone I know!
