Ty Newydd Guest House

Just got back from our visit in North Wales. Had to write a review on this excellent B&B. The landlady Lillian couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable. The room had everything you need and the breakfasts were superb! Just a short drive into Snowdonia and to the coastal resorts. The village is great too. A lovely waterfall just behind the guest house, 2 lovely pubs, serving good food, either Nepalese or more traditional, and bus stop right outside. Would definitely recommend if visiting North Wales and Snowdonia.

We've just got back from a lovely long weekend in Wales staying at the Tŷ Newydd B&B. I highly recommend staying here. Lil, the owner was brilliant, very friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. She cooked us a top quality breakfast every morning, and there were also cereal, Yogurts and Fruit if you prefer. Breakfast is at the set time of 8:30am, which worked well for us. We stayed in a Double room with our own bathroom, it was a good size, clean and cozy, the bed was super comfortable and there was even tea, coffee and biscuits provided. The sink is in the main room rather than in the bathroom but that made no difference to us, it was a lovely room. The only thing I'll mention is the flushing of the toilet is quite loud so if you're with someone who's a light sleeper, they might wake up if you flush it in the night, but again this didn't bother us, my partner sleeps though everything. The B&B is in a fantastic location, directly opposite the local pub which serves a variety of reasonably priced drinks and also serves amazing food! There are also another couple of pubs and restaurants within walking distance too. The village doesn't have a shop for groceries so you would need to prepare in advance and pop to the next village for this. Overall a great stay and I will be recommending to everyone I know!

A lovely old guest house run in true tradition of what we now call B&Bs. Lillian is a wonderful host. Nothing is too much trouble; she's bubbly and happy and treats all her patrons as if they were the only people staying at Ty Nywedd. Our room was a good size, nice and clean and had all the necessary extras, even extra plugs, that 2 people could possibly need. Lillian serves an excellent breakfast, using good quality ingredients. In my opinion, a full Wenglish! Really, all you needed to kick off the day. Ty newydd and it's owners are the stuff good B&Bs are made of. Very homely, BUT, no washing up! There's plenty FREE parking about 70 yards up the road and also FREE wifi throughout. Thank you Lillian for the Lurpak & the Andrex, much appreciated!!!
