This modern hotel on the banks of the Conway Estuary is probably the best in the area blessed with glorious views of the Welsh Mountains and the constantly changing tidal scenery The floral displays everywhere are truly astonishing and show the care given to make stays here memorable. The staff are so helpful and friendly and the food offer a delight. I struggled to find a negative critique at all save the fact that Customers are required to pay £25 pp to use the spa apart from off peak times. This requires attention. Well done

Very pleasant stay, lovely spa. By 9.30om Bar remained open but felt closed, things shut down, till, coffee marker off, lack of bar staff.

The hotel is ideally located and you pay for the privilege of location. Walk to Conwy for food if you can do the 2 miles there and back as parking will be bad in high season.

We just loved everything about the hotel. Rooms were comfortable, bar and restaurant great with friendly staff. The bonus was the weather being good enough to sit on the terrace for drinks (and bar meals if so desired). Plenty of car parking. We did not use the Spa but could see many people did

We stayed at the Quay hotel for five days in July. It’s a beautiful hotel with fabulous views over the Estuary and Conwy Castle and the flowers at the entrance were amazing. Plenty of parking, check-in was easy and the reception staff were lovely and attentive. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the staff were fantastic, so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and Katerina went out of her way to accommodate my husband’s mobility problems. We ate most evenings in the delightful bar and Chris was constantly attentive and fun, making sure we enjoyed our evening. Overall we had an amazing stay and can’t wait to revisit. Thanks to all the staff for making it so special.

Went to the Cove Bar in The Quay Hotel recently for some evening drinks / bite of food, seemed nice hotel / waiting on staff pleasant, unfortunately a glass of red wine was spilt by a member of staff that ended up going all over a light coloured leather bag and clothing of both myself and friend - aware accidents happen, but were largely left to try and clean the red wine up ourselves, noting also staining red wine lines on the bag (pictures attached, and thats after attempts to get the red wine running marks off the bag) - advised initially by the Cove Bar Manager that the wine would be of no charge as an apology. We ordered some light bites i.e. bread, dips with chips, unfortunately they then only brought 2/3s of the order. When leaving advised only the one glass of red was deducted from our bill (the one that was undrinkable given it was all over the table, bag and clothing!), and the missing chips, given never arrived! Poor customer service – including the irony of the parting comment by the Cove Manager of 'see you again soon'! Nope, no you won’t! We will wing our way to other options in the local area, including the Castle View in Deganwy, instead for good food, wine, views.

I have seen other reviews on this subject and I see it as just obvious profiteering, restricting pool access with one excuse but if you pay the excuse becomes less of a problem. My wife and I have stayed here a few times in the past and went to book a Sunday night stay but the pool rules are were explained and they are ridiculous. As a guest of the hotel you have to use the pool between 6am and 9am or 5pm and 9pm, this they say is to control the masses that use it. But if you pay an extra £25 you can pick a 2 hr slot during the day where miraculously the masses disappear and allow you to do your lengths. This rule is relatively new and it’s a disgrace to penalise staying paying guests who spend staying and eating and drinking in the hotel but treated as second class guests so to accommodate the people treatment centre guests. Shame on you, you’ve lost us and the friends and family that happened join us while staying there.
