Favolosa!
Fabulous location and a fascinating building - highly recommend the little tour that you can take to learn about the history.
The pool is lovely, as is the walking in the countryside around the abbey - other than that there's not a lot to do other than soak up the atmosphere.
We stayed for two dinners and one lunch. A great wine list that includes some very lovely very local wines. The lunch was great, one dinner was good, the other not so much. However, that is my only criticism - a wonderful and highly memorable stay in an exceptional building with great service. Highly recommend.

Ci siamo trovati in un’atmosfera magica, inclusi i canti gregoriani che si sentivano nei grandi corridoi. Belle le camere, bella l’Abbazia.Particolare gentilezza del personale, ed un apprezzamento particolare alla Signora Marzia che ci ha condotti “per mano”, con grande professionalità , nella visita all’Abbazia.Il parco spettacolare.Torneremo in primavera con gli amici per far apprezzare anche a loro ciò di cui abbiamo goduto e per scoprire tutto il resto che nella breve visita non abbiamo potuto scoprire.

Dit moet je ervaren. Slapen in een klooster, waar de bedden top zijn het diner heerlijk, maar waar je s nachts toch een beetje wakker ligt omdat het echt afgelegen ligt. Wij waren alleen in het hotel, de mensen waren zeer vriendelijk en de omgeving is prachtig

Hôtellerie de qualité dans un endroit tout à fait exceptionnel au cœur des Monts Sicanes. Une soirée et une nuit passées à l'Abbaye Santa Maria del Bosco, un lieu magique chargé d'histoire (surtout ne manquez pas la visite faite par Giulio, fils des propriétaires !). Le dîner convivial dans la salle à manger ajoute au plaisir de la découverte d'un lieu isolé, mais somptueux par son architecture et son atmosphère qu'il faut ajouter à la liste des bijoux du patrimoine à découvrir en Sicile. Expérience rare et inoubliable !

A truly exceptional experience! The historic Abbey is situated on a beautiful mountain side. Words cannot describe the spectacular hallways,courtyards, refractory dining room with frescoes on the walls, and splendor of the antiques adorning every room. The bedroom was massive by any standards, especially Sicilian, and the bathroom bigger than many hotel rooms we’ve had during our three week travels. Fabulous food and wine. Breakfast setting makes it easy to speak with other guests. Too cool to use the pool, but it looked wonderful as well set in an orchard. For flat road Canadians, the drive up was a bit windy, but well worth the effort!

Esperienza stupenda, un luogo di storia arte cultura spiritualità relax che ti mette in contatto con te stesso..Giulio Anna Guglielmo e la loro famiglia sono di una grande eleganza ormai persa oggi oltre a una generosità unica..Giulio (insieme ai suoi collaboratori in primis Annalisa, le due Giusy, Giulia e lo chef bravissimo e promettente) gestisce il relais in abbazia per farti stare bene e approvo appieno la scelta di non mettere la tv in camera che snaturerebbe il luogo. Professionalità, educazione, gentilezza, eleganza, umiltà, qualità nella cucina, scelta di collaboratori bravi e autentici fanno dell’abbazia Santa Maria del bosco un posto unico al mondo, un’esperienza da vivere almeno una volta nella vita.
