It’s such a lovely experience that they have campsites with all the activities such as cannons and SUP etc at very reasonably price!

This site is very well run and equipped with amenities. The restaurant food and coffee were of a high standard. The reception staff were also very helpful. The Everglades (morning) tour was fabulous and the 5k kayak that was part of this was just enough to get a full experience of the wonderful nature at hand. We stayed 2 nights but could easily have extended our stay. We are not seasoned campers and for those who want even more creature comforts the glamping sites looked really good too.

Magical spot, saw kangaroos, koalas, kingfishers, possums, cockatoos, eagles and an echidna!! Can not think of another place where you can tick so many Australian animals in the wild. Location, amenities and ethics are world class. Well done on the solar powered restaurant! Do yourself a favour and book the everglades tour, it was windy when we went but once you are in the everglades proper it was serene and magical. Felt like another world with the expert guidance of the staff.

The paperbark tent was awesome, had everything we need and the bedding was very comfortable. The wildlife and surrounding is just so peaceful, we couldn’t get enough! Highly recommended it!

Loved the experience at Habitat. We had a powered site with water. Only one block of toilets in camp ground. We had no problem with line up or waiting. Another block of showers and toilets at main office building along with a landery. Wifi and phone service is minimal and should not be relied on. Some wifi if you stand at the office and use the free wifi. Entrance is by tap card in and out. Glamping tents on site. We had a look and they are basic with double bed +/- bunk beds with bathroom. No kitchen facilities. Fire pit out front. The wildlife was wonderful - kanagroos, goanna, ducks, birds, echidna all around campsite. The ducks and goanna wander around close to sites but are no problem if you just sit and watch and enjoy them. Do not feed the animals. My concern is how close some people were to the kanagroos (in the keep out enclosure) and goanna. Too close. These are wild animals and need to be treated as such. Plenty of walking tracks from campsites both short and long trails. Take all your food and supplies. A small/minimal supply of items at the bar. No milk or bread available on site. I think there may have been ice. Nearest store about 20 minutes away at Borren Point. The beach area is small but the lake is enourmous with plenty of water activity if desired. In winter it was very cold and minimal activity on the lake other than kyack trips. Everglade trips are available daily from the main office. Cost involved. We did not do any of the trips. Most people adhered to rules of putting ash in hot ash bins - please be aware of this if you have a fire. Rubbish bins available. Tie bins/bags up overnight as the wildlife will get into it. Noted a few novice campers with rubbish around their site in the morning! CootharaBAR is a bar and restaurant on site for meals and coffee. We had a meal on our last night and not impressed at all. The meal was cold and not very palatable. The pizza was good. Plenty of seating aruond outside. and some inside. Children riding around on bikes but not causing any noise or disruption. Speed limit is slow inside camping area. I love the sound of happy kids just playing and having fun. We are coming back in the summer months with more family and children. Booked powered sites and one glamping tent. Looking forward to it.

Great experience as always. One of our favourite Camp grounds. Clean facilities, great vibe and fellow campers were also respectful of time limits and noise cut off times.

We stayed in The Gums unpowered area. Where we set up was very clean and well maintained. Everything was within walking distance and easily accessible. The staff were friendly and helpful and a pleasure to talk to. We were there for 2 nights and had dinner both nights at the Bistro and were very happy with the food and drinks ( the beer from their micro brewery was amazing). The Everglades tour was a great experience and the bush walks are great. The accomodation rules were very simple and straightforward and if everyone complies (which everyone did) it makes a pleasant experience for everyone all around. Definitely worth visiting as we will definitely be coming back with family and friends. Thank you Habitat Noosa
