The 17th-century manor is nestled among perfectly manicured gardens and centuries-old trees, with every corner of the property whispering elegance, history, and peace. Lunch was exceptional — refined yet relaxed, showcasing local flavors in the most beautiful setting imaginable. Afterward, we had time to walk the grounds, and I was struck by how serene and timeless everything felt. The chateau blends classic French charm with an inviting warmth that made it hard to leave. I was thrilled to return to this beautiful property. Besides its physical appeal, the location of the property is its main asset. It is the perfect base for visiting all the Normandy landing beaches and other military sites. They had recommended a marvelous guide named Igor from Gold Beach Company who made our experience memorable. I highly recommend him and his,company. The bedroom was exquisite, the dinner in the gourmet restaurant excellent, and the gardens, magnificent. The staff is superb and I especially want to mention Giovanni, who gave me so much personal attention. He was most professional and graciousness. Thank you to all for another superb experience.

Nous avons offert à nos parents une nuit dans votre établissement suite aux différents avis et le standing de votre hôtel. Malheureusement, nous ne sommes pas satisfaits suite aux informations données par nos parents. Hotel exclusivement "anglais", un accueil pas digne d'un grand hôtel, pas de plan ou d'information en français. Car, je précise, vous n'aviez plus de dépliant??? Si je m'abuse, nous sommes en France, c'est un peu la base ! Merci pour les clients non anglophone. La propreté est également à revoir que ça soit à l'extérieur comme à l'intérieur. Des toiles d'arraignés, fiantes de pigeons sur les transats. Dans la chambre, de la poussière présente dans la chambre. C'est très limite vu les 5 étoiles. La chambre du dessus, hyper bruyante, parquet qui craque, tanbourinage dans la nuit des clients du dessus...L'information a été transmise à l'accueil mais pas forcément de réponse apportée. Aussi, le petit déjeuner à 32€ n'est pas non plus à la hauteur de la prestation. On paye moins chère dans des moins étoilées et c'est plus diversifié. Pour conclure, nous n'offrirons plus une nuit dans votre chateau. c'est vraiment dommage...

Thought this Chateau would be an excellent choice for our family stay in Normandy. Unfortunately it was not. Other than the service and food at La Botineste it was not good. Breakfast service, Jardin food and service, housekeeping and not assisting us with the need for tickets for Giverney was below the standard of care for what you are going to spend here. The guide and driver Julie for St Michel and Normandy tour that was excellent. Will not be returning here on our next visit. Laundry service was also done poorly. No enthusiasm with greeting or assistance at Front Desk other than Justine. We should have listened to our cousins who loved The Lara in town

What a hotel with a fantastic Restaurant and lovely pool. The cheese chariot at Le Botaniste a must fantastic with 16 different cheese close to all the sites.

My Wife & I were on a whirlwind tour of Mont-Saint-Michel & Normandy in 2 days, so we decided to leave our Paris hotel room for a night and stay in Normandy. WOW...what a wonderful yet accidental decision. La Chenevière is a restored mansion, immaculately re-done and maintained, and attended by the most astute, attentive, and amazing staff you will meet anywhere. We eat light at nights, so missed the 5-Star restaurant for the comfort of the bar, attended dutifully by Timothy. Tuna salad & chicken salad, both light and meticulously prepared. The room was wonderful, comfy, and thoughtful. Omaha Beach 10-minutes away. We even had our Guide drop his car off so we could come back for a beverage & potty break after check-out, which was welcomed by the wonderful staff. If you are going to the Beaches of Normandy...come here. Period.

Read all the fine print, and do not expect them to honor anything else, no matter how obvious, not even to respond constructively. If they respond to this note it will be to claim that our purchase was non-refundable, but they will know that they are not telling anything close to the whole truth. There are many other fine places to stay in the area.

très bel établissement, un luxe discret, décoration recherchée, toute en douceur, parfois surprenante mais de bon goût . Service et chambre à la hauteur d'un 5 étoiles. Literie irréprochable, baignoire balnéo, etc...Personnel aux petits soins. Une ambiance feutrée et chaleureuse.
