Our A-Frame cabin is in a beautiful tranquil setting on 23 acres of meadows and woodland, with trails. You can watch deer, wild turkeys, birds (an eagle nests close by), or just sit and read and unwind. We are just two miles from Fairview, and not far from Mio, where you can purchase food and supplies, or eat out when you don't feel like cooking. We provide TV, DVD player, Roku with Netflix, Wifi, wood burning fireplace, fire pit outdoors, Ramp to the back door if needed, swing, grill on large deck, dishwasher, microwave, and coffee pot. One of the best properties we have stayed in! Property is secluded,quiet, great fishing, and so beautiful. Trails were fun to walk daily. The outdoor space is perfect! The deck is great for sitting and watching over the water for all the birds, and wildlife. The firepit area was shadded and perfectly nessled under a canopy of trees that served as a rain shield for the 2 days it rained a little. The little beach was so nice too, we swam, fished, and just had such a great time. The A-frame was so beautiful and awsome craftsmanship, built in 69 i believe i read, and it looks like new. Clean, had everything we needed, and so charming. Beds were comfortable and the furniture was nice too. Good size rooms all around. Just a beautiful house and Property. Hope to stay again next year. We had an amazing week. Thank you for having us.

We totally enjoyed our stay at this property. The surroundings so peaceful. We still kept busy. We kayaked the AuSable River, went to Perry Lake with our pontoon and had excellent fishing. We were able to have a fish fry and still take some home for the freezer. Visited Hubbard Lake and drove over to Alpena one of the days. Last day was gorgeous, so we checked out McCollum Lake, not very far from cabin. We really enjoyed that lake. Walked the trails at cabin, kayaked at the pond and had a fire every night. GOOD TIMES, GOOD MEMORIES!!

Off the beaten path in beautiful surroundings
We had a great time at this A frame cabin in the woods. In good weather it would be lovely to be outside in the yard. We walked several of the marked trails and really enjoyed the surroundings. The cabin was comfortable and we had what we needed in the kitchen. There was comfortable furniture and beds and the wifi was good. When we had a light go out on the front porch someone came that day to fix it. There is a well stocked grocery store only four miles away. We hope to come back in the summer.

A little piece of heaven
We stayed 6 days at this peaceful cabin, nestled in the woods right on a pond. So many types of wildlife come to visit! There are good restaurants close by and this is the perfect place to unwind and forget daily stress.

A-frame Retreat
What a delightful and relaxing retreat. It was beautiful area, and we had a great time hiking many of the trails in Michigan’s woods near the cabin. The cabin was comfortable and clean. It was a perfect time! Thank you!

Family get together
The moment we walked in we all fell in love with the cabin and surrounding property and pond. The trails were very nice and it allowed us all to be together and catch up. Our German Shepherd, absolutely love this trip as he adores the family get togethers with our adult children.
They also liked going out at night time and looking at the stars which was absolutely beautiful!
The bonfire just added the final touch to the end of our stay with great conversation while eating s’mores.
Everyone agreed we would love to come back and stay here again!!!!
