Homewood Suites by Hilton Columbus - Airport

⭐️⭐️I’m not going to lie - READ THE OTHER COMMENTS TOO. I’m staying here because the suites are spacious and the layout works well for my kids but this place is not what I expected. Cleanliness continues to be an issue. The fitness room was dirty and clearly not swept, and the furniture in my room was stained and worn. The mattress was flat and uncomfortable, definitely all of them may need to be checked and in need of replacement. Breakfast is VERY minimal, and unfortunately, one of the staff members (the black lady with an attitude) was downright RUDE during service and many others said she’s been like that the past few days. While the front desk staff last night is polite (light-skinned young lady) and the manager tries to address concerns with the standard basic replies to each comment, there’s a definite lack of consistency in upkeep and hospitality at this particular location.

This was our first stay at this property, as we typically stay downtown. However, due to OSU graduation and limited availability, we opted for this location, staying consistent with our preference for Hilton properties. Before arriving, we were a bit concerned by some of the negative reviews about cleanliness and security, but our experience was entirely positive. We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with a fireplace, which we used throughout our stay due to the cold and dreary weather. The suite was well-appointed, comfortable, and spotless. All dishes, glasses, and utensils were clean, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to prepare meals if we chose to cook. We had no issues with our rental vehicle and noticed security personnel on-site during the evenings when returning late from events, which was reassuring. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—a pleasant surprise, as we often find hotel mattresses hit or miss. Despite the busy weekend with graduation festivities, our room remained peaceful and quiet throughout our stay. The front desk associate who checked us in was warm and welcoming, and our housekeeper provided excellent service during our visit. This has quickly become our new favorite place to stay when visiting Columbus to see family.

Perfect for families Great room layouts especially for families where you need a separate space for kids and adults in the same room. The included breakfast and pool were an even better bonus.

The pool area was dirty and the chlorine smell was very strong. I didn’t even end up getting in due to it.

Stayed at worst…not too bad but not too good First night there I’d notice towels with makeup on them and the room looked to be “spot clean” and not thoroughly cleaned (fridge dirty, freezer needs defrost/ frost everywhere, sticky counters/ table). I normally sanitize anyways, so after cleaning was done, I was comfortable. Breakfast was decent. Pool isn’t kid friendly ( 4 night stay due to home repairs /kids weren’t happy). Door wouldn’t stay shut/ lock unless you slammed the door! Walls are pretty thin, can literally hear everything! Kept my tv on just to drown out the noise. If you know how to adjust and don’t mind doing so, then hey this place is cool🙃
