Extended Stay America Select Suites - Columbus - Worthington

Bed bug infested I recently stayed at this hotel from June 23rd - June 25th while on a work assignment. The first thing i noticed is the floors looked like they hadn’t been swept. Second thing i noticed was hair on different places on the shower walls. I pulled the blankets back and the sheet had folds in it like someone had laid in the bed and just fixed the blanket on top. I realized on June 25th that i had an itchy, red bump on my thigh. Really didn’t think too much of it until after i checked out on the 25th. I went to work, changed into my scrubs and noticed i had 3 bumps on my neck, 3 on my left arm and another on my right arm. I’m definitely convinced i was bitten by bed bugs. I called the hotel after work, no manager was available and the employee said there was nothing she could do about it. I called again today (June 26th) the employee stated the manager was on a conference call so i gave her my name and phone number so the manager could give me a call. Still have not heard back from them. I don’t normally write reviews but when it comes to things that could affect my health or things that i could take back home to my family or even spread to people at work, that’s a pretty big deal for me. I am absolutely disappointed and disgusted. I should trust that my ‘temporary home away from home’ will be clean and safe, especially when i spend my hard earned money to stay there.

When I check in, Front Desk Stuff was unprofessional and unknowable. I arrive just few minutes before Midnight, room was booked Under my Name. I didn't have Driver Id, I had USA Passport. Front Desk Lady, told me I cant check in without Driver License , why??? After All day Traveling from Europe 22 hours, I was kicked out from Hotel, without any Reason. Left on the cold weather outside, very rude, unprofessional behavior of the Front Desk. Without Cell phone I was forced out and with all bags to walk on the very Cold weather outside, to go on the Gas Station to purchase Cash Card to go to another Hotel. After few Hours I came back and Front Desk Stuff told me I can book a room with USA Passport ??? Very Stressful situation without any reason!! Front Desk Personal without Knowledge, Rude and Unprofessional!!
