Wingate by Wyndham Columbia

Went in not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. We usually stay at the Marriott but they were asking way more than they should have so we booked the Wyndham and it was fantastic. Bed super comfortable, absolutely nailed it with the pillows both in terms of quality and abundance. It was perfectly quiet and clean. Love the little bar of Dove soap and Dove products and the staff were just absolutely delightful! They were friendly and accommodating and funny. Just a really nice experience. It’s our new Columbia go to! Special shout out to Ryan the manager and double shout out to Ariel at the front desk with the delightful demeanor who helped me get extra coffee!

We have been on the road for five days now and this was the best place have stayed. Everything was great-. Staff, room, and breakfast were outstanding.

Everything was very comfortable and extremely clean. Service personnel were professional. Value for money was great.

Stayed July 16-20 in a Deluxe Studio Suite, room 212. We had a pleasant stay, but for the money we paid for the suite, we expect more. The floors ARE slanted. If not careful, you stumble as the floor either rises or falls. When you hit one of these spots, you can occasionally hear a creaking or noise. The dresser drawers won't shut...we put a chair in front of it to keep them closed. I've seen other reviews that said the granite top is weighted toward the front that causes this. That's just not right. The floors slant. The shower is very nice, but it leaks too...possibly because of the slanting. The way the bed is positioned, one air conditioner is directly on the right side and blows straight onto the person on that side of the bed. You're going to either freeze or sweat to death. The room is just not designed very well. But with all that said, we didn't report it, It wasn't worth the trouble, and we didn't want to pack up everything and move. Only one tv in the room...it's a pretty good distance from the bed to watch at night. The breakfast was average at best. Food was not replenished in a timely manner. We stopped going down after two tries. There are sticky globs os something (tar? gum?) in various places on the rug. Finally, we tried to run our Firestick on the tv, but it wouldn't work because you had to have a code to get internet. We asked about that, but the front desk said their tvs weren't internet compatitble. We went and bought a Firestick TV which obviously was internet compatitble...same problem. We need the new tv at home anyway. We will think twice about staying here again. I find it hard to believe the staff doesn't' know about this room.

The hotel and room were clean and the room is very generously sized. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept well. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful when we asked about places to eat. We would definitely stay here again and we recommend the hotel to anyone!

I was charged twice for the same stay. Once in advance and the other after checkout. The front desk manager was no help in resolving the problem.
