Typical, comfortable stay, but the people at the desk went over and above for me. I left 2 dresses in the closet and they kept the safe while walking me thru the process of getting them a mailing label. They then promptly got the package in the mail and I received it in a few days. They were very kind and I appreciated it so much!

We have stayed at LaQuinta’s before, but this location was the worst. Room smelled stale, ac was so loud, thermostat on wall broke, knob in fridge to adjust temperature was gone, holes in drapes, bathroom light almost out and sink wasn’t draining. They also have a $150 “security deposit”, which was never mentioned. When told front desk, they said hotel sold out so we couldn’t move to different room. We made these reservations in March! If you want a nice place to stay, this definitely is not the place!

I have stayed at hotels around the world and almost all states and this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room was beyond disgusting. Room smelt a combo of mildew and pee. There was what looked like mold/mildew stains on the shower current. Bathroom was not clean and there was stains on the floor/carpet, lamps and bottom of bed. The hallways, pool and elevator were all in disrepair.

To say that this property is in poor condition would be a severe understatement. Quite frankly, Wyndham should be embarrassed to have such a blighted and neglected hotel in its catalog. We expected a minimum level of cleanliness, safety, and basic hospitality—none of which were met. Here are just a few of the issues we encountered during our stay: The hotel is in horrible disrepair from top to bottom. The carpeting throughout is so filthy that my family felt compelled to wear shoes at all times inside our room. The property is pet-friendly, but it is clear from the overwhelming odor of pet urine and feces in the carpet and rooms that there is little to no effort made to clean properly between stays. Our room in particular reeked of cat urine. Surfaces throughout the room were sticky and visibly dirty. My wife had to disinfect every surface herself using Clorox wipes. The furniture and fixtures are literally falling apart. The first room we were given had a non-working refrigerator; the second had a non-working microwave. During multiple nights, we had unknown individuals knock on our door between 2 and 3 AM, apparently looking for random people. Children ran and played in the hallways throughout the night with no intervention from hotel staff. The air conditioners in both rooms barely worked, making sleep incredibly difficult. The property is frequently occupied by homeless individuals wandering around, which created a sense of unease, especially for families with young children. The beds were so worn that they sank into a crater at the center. The common areas, including the elevator, were filthy. The elevator had gang-related graffiti carved into its surfaces. Door locks and handles functioned poorly, creating safety concerns. Housekeeping is only available upon request, but this was not communicated at check-in. The front desk never answered the phone, likely to avoid handling service requests. The advertised free breakfast was so poorly stocked each day that we were never able to utilize it. The hotel permits loud, alcohol-fueled socializing in the lobby, which is completely inappropriate for a family-oriented property. This list could easily continue, but I hope it already makes clear how unacceptable this property is.

Erin at the front desk was incredibly unhelpful and defensive when we brought our concerns to her. The lobby was a mess, when getting off of the elevator on our floor the walls were peeling and it smelled like mold, the room door next to ours had questionable and concerning damage, the beds were smaller than advertised, and the pillow looked like it had been used. When trying to discuss options she told us that we would have to discuss a refund with the third party, but later told us that she was going to deny it when they called her. She refused to refund, charged us the cancellation fee, and called the police to have us leave the property.

This was a horrible experience. The hotel is in complete disrepair and filthy. The transient population does not need to be coming in to use the open restrooms. Controls need to be put in place immediately. This was not a safe environment for our kids. Staff was in denial of how bad it was.

Review La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Colorado Springs South AP. DO NOT Stay here. Within 2 hours of checking in my room I was robbed while I left to get dinner. ( no forced entry). Filed a police report. Staff was horrible to work with. They admitted knowing of homeless issues with regularly chasing people out of rooms, stairwells and needing armed security. Very dirty hotel . Unsafe , serious elevator issues and men hanging out in the stairway. Only one entrance into hotel all others broken. ( per management) I was told staff does not wear name tags or have their name given out due to their safety. They certainly don’t care about customer safety. Do Not Stay.
